I've just listened to Mr.Rock & Roll for the first time akabula and I really liked it alot. She is obviously very talented.

Lovely. Note that a couple of skinny Scottish footballers have so far failed to seal the deal.

Engaged to Richard Foster of St Johnstone last I heard.
He was with Rangers when they first met, Amy being a bluenose. She's our equivalent of Sir Rodney but without the tears. |

One way Amy Macdonald seems the ultimate lads' girl -she drives a Ferrari and dates a footballer.. The lyrics and the tunes are good, and she is good looking, but it's the voice for me. She knows it works despite being Scottish.
I like her a lot. |

Rhythm of My Heart opened by Amy and finished by Rod with a few Weegies helping out.
Was for the opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nhrjca0wtrg |

Can one be on Amy's side while not on akabula's?
That is where I stand. And I hope she is free of all that sectarian bulls***t when her troupe perform in my country. Go girl. |

I saw her in Aberdeen at New year once. She is good live. Stuff like Mr Rock and Roll when she came on the scene are very good but not done too much I'd recognise in about 10 years now.
Sure the footballer was Steven Lovell from Aberdeen at the time or it use to be. |

My only quarrel with Amy would be her supporting independence.
But you'd need to be really small minded to let that get in the way of enjoying her music. Bit like Rod supporting celtic. |

Her and Lovell put their romance on hold whilst her career blossomed.
Parted soon after but are still friends. First time ever I saw her was on tv one Hogmanay. Pretty sure that was her first ever tv appearance. She was fantastic btw. |

Remember her from the 1970's - didn't know she was still singing.
She must have taken care of herself to be now dating a footballer. |

Amy on you tube singing "Pride" at the olympics, brought a tear to my eye, a little sunner. cheers.

"This is the Life" would make my all-time top 50. Essentially a sad song, about the endless drinking, partying, meaningless sex of youth, repeated ad infinitum until time degrades you and unreliable memories are all you have left. Come to think of it, the people in the video are unrealistically well behaved.
