DVLA are a law unto themselves, and will not listen to reason!
When I moved into my appartment last year, I sent off notification of my move, and enclosed ny registration document.
After that it went completely out of my mind as I hadn't needed it.
The appartment was originally known as "Lower Ground Floor Apartment" as Royal Mail still hadn't accepted the new address as 7 ****** Mews.
I was shortly about to pick up my new car (last Friday) and almost three weeks before, I requested a replacement document, at a cost of £25.00, which was somewhat annoying as I never received the previous one!
They insisted on sending it to "Lower Ground Floor Apartment" and I should have received it within five days.
After nine days I had to request another one, but they wouldn't change the address, other than me paying another £25.00 and with a further delay.
Incredibly that arrived on time, as the posty knew about the change, but later we discovered that the first one had been posted through the rear door of "The Hall" and they were away!
I'm now anticipating more aggro when my refund of road tax also goes walkabout!
To further demonstrate how ludicrous this is, I also notified DVLA about the change, for my driving license, and they had no problem with it!!!

Your nets are a fking disgrace, don't you have a washing machine or a stream at the end of the garden?
But using the front garden to grow vegetables has to be admired.

^ get your MP on it, tell him that it is obviously a sign of a major systems failure at DVLA and has to be thoroughly investigated, tell your insurance company you will go to the FOS if they don't pay you out pronto and if all that fails chain yourself to something in Trafalgar square.

Lady Faye By law you do not have to change your address on a Driving Licence ID is determined by 'the person' and not 'an address' basically they accept that 'people move'
