Health professionals in England are to be told to ask patients aged 16 or over about their sexual orientation, under new NHS guidelines.
NHS England said no-one would be forced to answer the question but recording the data would ensure that "no patient is discriminated against".

Sounds a bad idea to be on a computer system with this information. The current regime may have no discrimination based on this but who knows what future governments might do if demographics change. What if a foreign government hacks this information and you arrested on going there?

Hitler would have liked a computer system like this for every country he invaded. Homosexuality is illegal in 74 countries. In 13 countries, being gay or bisexual is punishable by death. These are; Sudan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Mauritania, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Qatar, UAE, parts of Nigeria, parts of Somalia, parts of Syria and parts of Iraq.

It would not be wise or safe to speak about these things when you look at the NHS .

******* hell look at this made up pronoun list!

HE/SHE, HIM/HER, HIS/HER, HIS/HERS, HIMSELF/HERSELF.
zie, zim, zir, zis, zieself.
sie, sie, hir, hirs, hirself.
ey, em, eir, eirs, eirself.
ve, ver, vis, vers, verself.

Anyway if you tell the doctor you prefer the love of sheep and other farm animals, would that be ok? LaughWink

Are they actually going to ask or will it be a question on a form? Whatever, its just another reason to avoid seeing a doctor.
