Cavity wall insulation has apparently caused damp in many homes and now many no win no fee companies are popping up to make claims against CIGA. Average claim said to be £10k. Anyone know anything more about this?

The OP seems very like spam to me. I wonder if making claims against each other is Burt06's idea of a how we will all make a living in the proud post-brexit Britain.

I developed a bad back looking for damp patches on my walls. Do I have a claim?
Report akabula • October 3, 2017 10:40 PM BST
Yes but it'll come in the form of cavity head insulation for you.

Oops sorry Foinavon. For some reason I thought spotty had posted that.

A lot of companies have popped up recently and are aggressively marketing. I don't know how trustworthy any of them might be.

That's just 1 of them.

Who do you sue?  Most companies of this type declare themselves bankrupt at the first sign of trouble. About as effective as suing those nice travellers who tarmacked your drive with a bit of left-over stuff from the new ring-road.

Whoa - just checked the spelling of tarmacked and the urban dictionary was shocking! Whatever you do, don't look.

What's been going on Bodil....anything interesting ?

Too much work - and dog-sitting for a month. Free today!  All that sunshine and fresh-air walking twice a day - I almost shrivelled into ash.

Lot of interesting things happening in the outside world though. Something major approaching I sense. Hey, with the Donald, anything's possible!

surprise surprise the link appears.  Usually the spammer uses a friend to supply the answer to "Anyone know anything more about this?", but as Burt06 doesn't have any friends he has to do it himself.

So the link Burt06 spammed leads to a website run by a Tony Mulligan, Blackpool businessman who surprise, surprise is active in UKIP.  Is Burt06 Tony Mulligan and spamming his own website?
Report Crisp77 • October 4, 2017 1:12 PM BST
If the spamming hasn't succeeded he can try again.
