Posh girl stabs boyfriend, no real sentance.  We have to feel sorry for her.  As someone says in the comments 'if she was ugly and lived in a council house she'd be locked up'

i think it has more to do with the fact she's a woman. somehow the judge decided that her gender made the act less severe.

you can't possibly imagine this sentencing, irrespective of class and background, if it had been a drug-adled man stabbing his girlfriend.

It will be interesting to see if this verdict is appealed.

The trouble with posh women is that they are handy with a knife and fork. Stick to dating women that dine at KFC and McDonald's IMO.

She even broke her bail conditions and the judge praised her for it.

Still find it hard that the judge described the stabbing as relatively minor injury, must live in a different world.

A bullet wound could be a mere flesh wound, he maybe watches too much monty python.

Am I the only one who feels that a custodial sentence is unnecessary here? The likelihood that this was a one off, she had no previous, that she has gone through rehab off her own volition, would make it appear that she is hugely unlikely to re-offend again. I reckon the Judge called this right.

I appreciate she should be punished for what she did, and she has, but not giving her a custodial sentence hasn't made her a bigger threat to the public than if he had. And yes, I would.

She must be jailed to show women that just because they are female, they cannot get away with assaulting blokes.
