It looks comparable in size to a US nuclear warhead. No way of knowing what is inside the casing but I don't think we should be provoking a demonstration.

On the contrary I am looking forward to the first ever nuclear conflict. It will change a lot of things regarding nuclear proliferation around the world.

If this is serious, it's possibly one of the stupidest things ever said on the internet and that is really saying something considering the competition.

When I said America will not dare attack NK first because Japan and SK had too much at stake, I was called stupid. I was told America can finish off NK in the blink of an eye. I said OK, let's see if that happens. I'm eager to see what happens to Sk and Japan as a result. And im stil stupid. I must be uber stupid to be called stupid all the time.

For the record, I firmly believe SK and japan have told US in clear terms that America should calm down. The way Mike Pence went to South Korea after Trump had a twitter fit was proof of that to me. America is not going to strike first. Neither is Kim. The best he is going to do is claim he tested the baddest bomb ever.

Kim getting himself in a position of power. Then the world will have to take him seriously which will lead onto the ending of sanctions etc no doubt a few bob thrown in as well Mischief

the story goes in this neck of the woods that the guy in charge of NK downs two bottles of Vodka a day"How can anyone talk peace wit h a guy like that if the story is true"?
Report dustybin • September 5, 2017 7:54 AM BST
Maybe Kim didn't much fancy the way duplicity and disorder ruled the way America leads the band when it comes to unilateralism and failed state regime change.

All you have to do is get over the line of becoming nuclear and then America has to go find some other place to use to turn into a failed state of rubble instead.

Do America bang the drum about sanctioning Israel for becoming nuclear too?

Every year team America turn up on NKs border using up weapons that lose money while sitting idle.
Kim showing yank aggression some of its own.

How reprehensible it is when people like dustybin insist on ignoring N. Korea.
To cower safely in our lovely homes , and to lack the courage to be an oppressor of that evil regime.
Report lfc1971 • September 5, 2017 9:04 AM BST
of course it's difficult to know what to do , but then again it was difficult to defeat Nazi Germany , that cost many lives , how glorious America and Britain was then.
Report dustybin • September 5, 2017 9:41 AM BST
Yeah, to lack the courage of scooping up all those from poor neighbourhoods into the army to do the fighting, imposing the will of cyclic economic collapse on anyone who has the audacity to not play ball and dance to the tune.

There's a constant in this world and that is corruption. It either happens at parochial or state level.
You can't get rid of it because it's in the bones of humanity, the rabid need to cheat others in one form or another for self gain.
It's either packaged up as state control and oppressive, or its under a veil and hidden from sight in contrived politics and insider trading, lies and manipulation.
Western enterprise at best sails right on the edge of legality using the dark arts and mal practice to look after self interest that then creates a knock on effect that either makes the books no longer balance and result in a crash, or impacts on policy where blame is imposed on those that were innocent.
All the while the iceberg of corruption reveals only so much of the true picture of who has robbed the system blind as regulation became eroded.

Some real fooking hypocrites dictating on how everyone in the world must live.
You don't see NK traversing the planet dropping bombs on anyone who disagrees.

I see adverts on tv for the armed forces, blokes p issuing around in helicopters and abseiling cliff faces, travelling the word living an 'adventure'. I also see patriotic rhetoric using jingoistic pride to create a myth in the minds of the people....fained sorrow from the political classes penning notes of sympathy to families of those true heros lost due to the orders of others.

It all amounts to the same thing; that those that serve are lead by false pretence into literally dying so the continued costing up of enterprise and politics can pull the strings of feeding the people exactly what they need to continue the charade.
All the lobbiest don't die, the politicians and the CEOs don't die, those rubbing their hands on the trading floors don't die.....its those that get picked out in lands that don't fall into line, they are the ones that die along with the armed services who can't even take the government to court for miss selling their job description.

Report lfc1971 • September 5, 2017 10:12 AM BST
Yes of course it was it is the case that in a war people die  , young people in the main but then again we can stay silent and watch as people are imprisoned , and tortured and murdered , whole  families mothers their children. And their grandmothers .
Just ordinary people like you and me .
And that has been going on for 50 years , people living their entire lives in concentration camps .
Now it's easy to stay silent and do nothing, by staying silent we can avoid causing the least possible harm,
And at the same time destroy something good.
Report dustybin • September 5, 2017 10:35 AM BST
I'm assuming you are referring to the singular point here in NK?
Do you honestly think Americans give a flying fook about North Koreans?
The majority of Americans have never left their country, they have a very poor understanding of foreign issues by and large.
So therefore who the hell do the democracies appease when they come up with the ideologies to get elected?

The people of America arnt chomping at the bit about assisting the people of NK.
It's the ruling classes who create the agendas, then deliver them to the people.
If Kim is acting up he's doing it because there's a present danger on his own border.

Mike pence's daddy didn't return with a victory medal last time, who says this generation will achieve anything more?

There's a pattern to how America deal with these issues, at the point the country that's vilified have air capacity knocked out either planes or missile ability is when they go in for the kill.
Well Kim's missiles arnt like any other regime they bombed into rubble.
Report lfc1971 • September 5, 2017 10:44 AM BST
I don't care about the leader of N. Korea, I care if he is 'acting up' it's the people he is torturing and the families sent to prison camps , and those he murders and the repression
I don't know if you would call that acting up or not .
Report lfc1971 • September 5, 2017 10:47 AM BST
Of course when Hitler was testing his missile programme, and at the same time sending people to the gas chambers, perhaps he was only 'acting up' also.
I don't know.
Report dustybin • September 5, 2017 10:50 AM BST
The irony here is that the ilk of trump and co don't care about those within flattening vicinity of NK either.
All he cares about is that an ideology other than one suckling from the American teet arrive in the game of having very real impact, that the thing that really puts his nose out of joint.

Look at Japan, got nuked by the Americans, effectively nuked themselves after the earth quake and now would be prime target to get nuked all over again.
Does trump care about them?
Report lfc1971 • September 5, 2017 10:52 AM BST
Well I like Japan, I think they deserve great credit for the beautiful country they built , with America's help, after WW2.
I would be very happy to live there.
Report dustybin • September 5, 2017 12:14 PM BST
What does amaze me about that whole area of the world is how they can manage to use economies of scale to such an extent as to produce a product as cheaply as they do.

I just purchased a replacement phone for my broken iPhone, it cost £12.95 and it's pretty basic, but the fact it is just the materials alone can't be far off the price of the product.

That's what happens though isn't it, you drive down on the cost to produce until it's crushed and expect those people to simply keep providing.
Ofc that isn't about NK directly, but that whole region has had a generation of being the cheap labour for western wants, soon to be made redundant entirely as American robots take away their bread from the table.
Report Foinavon • September 5, 2017 12:44 PM BST
Putin is probably right regarding sanctions.
Now that Kimmy the Kid knows that if he ever detonates one in anger he will become little more than a greasy film on a windscreen in Bangkok, there is nothing more to be done.
Report dustybin • September 5, 2017 1:06 PM BST
Nuclear weapons arnt there to be used, unless ofc you is America.
They are bargaining chips and act as security against other peoples' collective desires.
