This tournament is chucking a few curveballs, out of left field/ Mr Cilic only made it to round 3. EVERYBODY thought he'd go further. Just goes to show, eh? No points to anyone for section A. Only the single letter B man made it to round 3, so no points to anyone there either. There's no point in my updating the scores, nothing's changed! Section B - how many of the top 16 MEN's seeds will be in the top 16?
We must consider Andy Murray a loser for the purposes of this (as discussed before the off) There were 6 which scores 4 points, predictions of 7 or 5 score 2 points, going for 8 or 4 - 1 point. Section C - Same thing, for women. There are 7 of them still in as I type. Guessing 7 = 4 points, 6 or 8 = 2 points, 5 or 9 = 1 point. There are 2 Russian ladies in the last 16 - so there will(obviously) be up 0, 1 or 2 in the last 8 here's the current state of play - competition wise.

The most wide open of sections is the "previous winners" one (Section E). At least it's going to the wire. Well, the womens final was as one-sided as it was unpredictable, and it only contained 15 games....
NO-ONE went that low, nor even as low as 17, which would have been worth 1 point. So NO scorers in section F. Only 1 section left, everyone in the top 5 has picked the same thing for it. So as there is a tie for 1st it all comes down to how many aces there are in the Mens final. casemoney predicted 14, mesmerised predicted 15. Nearest wins. Makes you wonder how they won. Anyway, Mens only (reminds me of a magazine I read as a teenager) was the answer to section E. With Nadal flying the flag for highly ranked players in the event. Even with Anderson managing 2 aces in his last service games there were only 11. So the total and overall scoreboard is below. Casemoney is the winner of the competition on 16 points, most of which were won early on and will receive a £60 sportsbook bet as 1st prize. Congratulations. Mesmerised, despite his spirited effort was let down in the tiebreak and is deferring his £30 prize - I'll inform BF. Well done anyway. which means ooO{Alpha Centauri}Ooo with his 13 points, now wins £30 instead of a tenner well done to you too, you're a star. badjoe, a point further back, in 4th will cop a bonus £10, good luck with it. A shame the competition was poorly attended, there were various reasons and I think it was an anomaly. Still 29 of us had a little more fun than we would have, and I finally got a top 20 place.
