'Berlino The Bear' was the original (???) mascot at the World Athletics Championships as I recall.
Berlino started the tradition of the mascot being able to get his paws all over the winning female athletes bodies, without any comeback from the police, so he was clearly smarter than the average bear. |

The greatest Bear in history is Wojtek yet it`s unbelievable that so many people have never heard of him and his remarkable story. A war hero who liked a pint and his cigarettes and had a Statue erected in Edinburgh in his memory. I met him many times and he was a wonderful creature.
