Polls schmoles, quickest route to the poorhouse, but some lefties seem to like them, grateful to receive any (false!) hopes, so here`s one. Remember, The Don received 8% of the black vote in 2016, an uptick to even 12%-15% means we`re heading for landslide territory

Rasmussen poll: President Trump’s approval rating among black voters hits all-time high in the wake of rioting
Ann Wilson | The BL 5 hours ago

The Rasmussen poll on Friday, June 5, found that President Donald Trump’s job approval rating among African American voters peaked at all-time high of 41% in the wake of the rioting related to the death of George Floyd.

According to the new poll, President Trump has an overall approval rating of 48% given the pandemic crisis and ongoing widespread protests sparked by the death of Floyd, a black man who died in Minneapolis police custody on May 25.

Of 41% likely black voters who support the president, 25% said they “strongly support” what he is doing. The poll even showed that 15% of Democrats “strongly approve” the president’s job.

Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) earlier this week commended President Trump’s work for the black community, saying, “The last three years of progress have been unprecedented in my lifetime.

“The fact that we have secured permanent funding for HBCUs [historically black colleges and universities] under President Trump is something that was surprising, I think frankly, to the HBCUs [and] the United Negro College Fund,” he said. “The president said clearly that the level of funding the last year was the highest ever. Think about the jobs created. Under this administration, we created over seven million jobs, two-thirds of those jobs went to minorities and to women.”

“We had an increase the labor force participation rate among African Americans,” Scott added. “Home ownership, I believe, was up by two points under this administration. Access to a quality education improved, help for sickle cell anemia secured under this president, so when you look at the actual accomplishments—put aside all of the vitriol, all of the rhetoric, all of the things that some may find distasteful—the actual policy positions have been incredibly concrete.”

“And I would say this has been the best policy position of a president in my lifetime, and that’s what I know from just personal experience and having watched this for the last 30 years of my life,” he said.

It’s worth noting that this poll was conducted before Friday’s stunning jobs report from the Labor Department showing that the national unemployment rate unexpectedly declined in May with 2.5 million jobs created
.

Rep. Vernon Jones (D-Ga.), who made waves after endorsing President Trump’s re-election, reacted to the poll, suggesting that the surge of black voters supporting President Trump is the reason behind “a race war.”

“Why is the Left trying to start a race war? Maybe this is why…” Jones tweeted.

Jones has strongly opposed the idea that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, who recently said that those having a hard time “figuring out” whether to support him or President Trump “ain’t black,” become the next president of the United State.

“Liberal Democrats like Joe Biden have been standing on the shoulders of Black voters over 50 years with their knees on their necks,” Jones wrote in a tweet on Friday. “Let them breath!

Republican Colin Powell, the former secretary of state under George W Bush, has called Donald Trump a liar and stated he will be voting for the Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.

His comments follow President Trump threatening to use the military against Americans protesting racism and police brutality following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Mr Powell, a retired general and the first African-American secretary of state, told CNN that Republican Mr Trump had "drifted away" from the Constitution, and lied "all the time".

"We have a Constitution. And we have to follow that Constitution. And the president has drifted away from it," he said.

His comments echoed criticisms of the president made by the former defence secretary James Mattis who this week delivered a scathing assessment of Mr Trump, accusing him of dividing the country and "abusing" his position of authority.

“Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people - does not even pretend to try. Instead, he tries to divide us," Mr Mattis wrote in The Atlantic magazine.

Asked directly if he agreed with the criticisms of the president by the ex-defence secretary, Mr Powell said: "You have to agree with it.
"I mean, look at what he has done to divide us," he added.

"I agree with all of my former colleagues. I'm proud of what they're doing. I'm proud that they were willing to take the risk of speaking honesty and speaking truth to those who are not speaking truth."

Truth was in short supply with President Trump, Mr Powell added.

"The one word I have to use with respect to what he's been doing for the last several years is the word I would never have used before, never would have used with any of the four presidents I worked for, he lies," said Mr Powell.

"He lies about things. And he gets away with it because people will not hold him accountable."

Mr Powell said he had not voted for the Republican candidate in 2016, and would instead be voting for Joe Biden in November's election.

"I'm very close to Joe Biden on a social matter and on a political matter. I worked with him for 35, 40 years, and he is now the candidate and I will be voting for him," he told CNN.

Gen. C. Powell would know all about lying, having lied to United Nations Counsel leaders in 2003 about 'weapons of mass destruction' in Iraqi when he knew there was no evidence of same, a lie that helped bring forward a US war in Iraq and the deaths of hundreds of thousands.

I liked the story of George W Bush who was friends from his youth with a Scottish businessman and had spent summers in Scotland on the family farm, staying close friends since. One day he phoned up his friends business and asked to speak to him. The secretary asked who was calling to which George replied it was the president. She asked "of which company" to which he replied the United States of America company.

When dems/globaists/deep-staters beg for `healing, reuniting, coming together`, what they mean is `give in to our demands` or, more duplicitously, `compromise`. Why on earth would good and right thinking people go half way to being wrong? Who wants to `re-unite` if we`re then half way to hell? And getting forever closer, with every bit of `healing`? We`ve had 100-odd years of Western governments forever `compromising`, with disastrous results, so let`s all be grateful to The Greatest President Ever for swatting away such evil demands from satan`s little helpers, he`s The West`s last hope of salvation from eternal damnation, saving us from  the jackboot of dems, globalists and chinese

Americans trying to prevent COVID-19 infections have reported cleaning their food and themselves with disinfectant and bleach, with some even inhaling or drinking the household cleaning products, a study has found.

According to research from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly four in 10 people (39%) admitted to actions the health protection agency would consider dangerous.

The study took place in May shortly after President Donald Trump publicly asked whether injecting such products could treat COVID-19.

Of the 502 adults surveyed, 19% said they had put bleach on food, including fruit and vegetables, while 18% admitted using household cleaning and disinfectant products on their hands or skin.

WHO halted testing into The Dons 'life saving wonder drug' in the middle of a viral pandemic on the advice of some self employed bloke in his bedsit in Chicago.

LOLs no wonder The Donald pulled all funding from the World Health Organisation, the worlds health is the least of their concerns it seems.

-A data analytics firm behind an influential - and now retracted Lancet study which concluded that Hydroxychloroquine is dangerous, has one employee and is headquartered in a residential house just west of Chicago.

-Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of it all is that the WHO and two entire countries halted trials of a potentially life-saving drug following the results of a single study that they failed to independently verify.
