I am surprised though no one has mentioned the BBC yet. They don't have the rights to cover terrorist attacks in Spain?

Take this to it's conclusion and no one will leave home without a blast suit on. Better off attacking the problem rather than ruining everyone's lives trying to avoid it.

The usual cycle ... spokesman in muslim clothing saying its nothing to do with the religion of peace, flags , flowers, stand united posters , buildings in spanish colours, facebook profile pics in spanish flags and the whole cycle begins again.

Terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks in Spain. Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places visited by foreigners. The Spanish authorities take measures to protect visitors, but you should be vigilant and follow the instructions of the local authorities.

The Basque terrorist organisation ETA hasn’t mounted any attacks since 2009. In October 2011 ETA announced a “definitive cessation of armed activity”. In April 2017 they declared a “unilateral disarmament” and claimed to have handed in all of their weapons. ETA’s last major attack was in 2006. British nationals have not been a target of ETA terrorism.

Spanish police have disrupted a number of groups suspected of recruiting individuals to travel to Syria and Iraq from 2015 to the present date. Some of them expressed an intention to carry out attacks in Europe.

There’s a heightened threat of terrorist attack globally against UK interests and British nationals from groups or individuals motivated by the conflict in Iraq and Syria. You should be vigilant at this time.

Find out more about the global threat from terrorism, how to minimise your risk and what to do in the event of a terrorist attack.

Given that they are all peaceful I would estimate this to be a parking incident. I never trust foreign drivers anyway.

Did the Glasgow bin lorry incident help inspire this type of attack or did it happen before then?

This is the real problem. And I think its too late to stop that anyways. Whether more come or not is irrelevant. There are already enough here to feed the politicians.

One way of minimising the risk is to make sure you allow as few people as possible in your country that follow a well-known Peaceful Religion.

In the event of an attack you stop p1$$ing about lighting candles and saying you 'stand strong' in favour of closing your borders to further Peace Lovers, and lock up those 'known to the authorities'.

I know they've caught a lot of cells in Spain but the ratio to Spain vs UK, Germany, France must be 1:300 or something. Was inevitable but sad all the same.

Jail/deport as appropriate anyone who preaches support of terrorism and close down mosques where the leaders won't condemn violence. That would be a start.

i'm very grateful for it, but what does amaze me is how budget and unimaginative these attacks are.

it really can't be very long until a terrorist does something which results in hundreds, or thousands of lives being lost.

After that fire in london, I thought some terrorist would get the idea. Esecially after they announced exactly which regions of london were vunerable to fire in high rise buildings. Yet not one terrorist could put the pieces together. They don't use their brains. Or they just don't want to do something so big that the general public loses their patience.

Breeding Mad: If you close down mosques they will go underground and find more reason to commit terrorist acts.
Better that you can keep an eye on them .

A scandalous remark.

You're basically saying if we take a hard line against Islam they will attack us. Oh great, they're a lovely bunch....

In China, Vietnam etc, Christians have been driven underground for decades with NO violent reprisals.

We will have to bring  segregation to all our cities,  because the politicians and the leftists and the liberals will not protect the British and European people.
There should be segregated communities, shops and trains , and airports , and flights, and restuarants, schools and bars and clubs and concerts etc.
places were muslims can go and places were Christians can go.
if some Christians wish to live in a non segregated area, they can do so.

Actually the people helping you solve the terrorism problem are the same helping you with Brexit. Don't put your hopes on them to pull it off.
