50% success rate on egg breakages but otherwise very good.
Sort of cross between fried and poached, but a lot easier than poaching. Even when frying, I have found the splatter guard speeds up cooking time greatly. Great product btw...not the mesh sort but it is solid with glass in the middle. |

Well I suppose we can let you off this time Jack.
But don't let it happen again! |

Nice little tip from Lady Faye.
Just fried one and it came out perfect with no burnt bits on the edges either. Had it with a few corn cakes. That will keep me going until around 2 PM when I'll have an avocado salad. Avocado chopped up, two bungs of coleslaw, capsicum, tomato, cucumber, lettuce. What's up doc? ^See I'm starting to speak like a rabbit already. |

Ours is wearing out. We got it from Aldi or Lidl. I have been searching for one the same, but can't find one. Only this... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kitchencraft-Universal-Splatter-Guard-Lid/dp/B000YJBH4U/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1500029288&sr=8-5&keywords=splatter+guard But it hasn't got the glass panel |

Had one of those but the handle fell off!
Have to laugh at this thread now turning into a debate about splatter guards! |

Go careful Slippy and Case. Knees are tricky as you know.. Glad you had good care.
My recent experiences of the NHS have blown me away. Awesome compassion and professionalism. Cannot speak highly of the nurses and docs. |

I just wish they'd make some effort to look after themselves.

Although you can't realy blame them.
They're simply following the advice that the rest of the population have been given about diet. They tell us to eat a balanced diet yet everybody is getting fat from doing exactly that. Following their advice is a licence to eat anything you like. And will turn you quickly into a sugar addict. Even kids are getting overweight these days before they start school. Lack of exercise my eye. Brilliant lecture here for anyone interested in considering their own health and more importantly how we are all being led up the garden path over obesity and its primary cause. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckN6WM6MeJI There's a nice little piece of information for those who make too much ''bad cholesterol'' as well which I never knew about. It states that bad cholesterol comes in two parts the same as total cholesterol. Two parts, with one being bad and the other good as well. The revelation is that the bad bit is made by eating carbs not through eating fat. I urge anyone who would like to take steps to insure a long and healthy life to watch the video. |

The health benefits of a lower carb diet are amazing. The amount of poison in food is amazing. It is a generalisation to say it but my results are always the same. Low good - high bad. A major part of it is anything that is PROCESSED. Flour is a biggy for instance. But so much is processed and is not natural.

The problem people have with cutting out carbs, is that there's only fat and protein left.
Fat has been unjustly demonised, so they end up eating too much protein. Which will if you eat too much start raising insulin and hamper weight loss for people trying to slim down. They can also start feeling lousy from digesting too much protein. Yet there's no need to avoid fats, or eggs, cheese, avocados, nuts. Why load ourselves up with carbs at all, when there's loads more healthy stuff we can eat that doesn't make us fat? Carbs are mainly used for cheap stodge in meals. And sugar is used to ensure you come back for more, and above all by the food manufactures to keep us eating. |
