Guardian,BBC,Sky news,Ch4,Huffington post,James O'Brien stick the smug lot em all in a raft and watch it sail away.

Cheap Labour is their God lads least we forget, and too protect that they'll spout any old crap to get them in.

Constantly amazed how much time right wingers spend reading or watching the guardian, the beeb, that guy on LBC etc etc.

It's like fact reflecting the fiction of the paranoid little Englanders twitching behind their curtains and getting terrified of everything they see.
Report lybertyne July 7, 2017 11:26 AM BST
Surely it's a good idea to observe the news from various media sources.  If "right-wingers" only read Breitbart you'd say their encounter with the news was skewed.

But they had a much more important item with 350 comments on

The sexism of Pink - I do not joke.

Quite right to examine and comment on sexism.  I wonder if they dealt with the misogyny practiced by islam for starters?

Plenty of room for a pineapple on my raft.

The MSM, eg CNN and the Guardian, are desperate to get back to the 20th century when they could control the news.

Here is the 21st century news. That won't ever happen again.
Report PorcupineorPineapple July 7, 2017 12:18 PM BST
Interesting that you include CNN and the Guardian in the MSM bracket but not Fox News, the Mail or The Times etc. I wonder why that is.
Report saddo July 7, 2017 12:41 PM BST
I love to see the Grauniad begging bowl at least once a week, seems there are not enough idiots around to support the existence of this minority interest rag.
Report PorcupineorPineapple July 7, 2017 12:44 PM BST
Unlike the Times and the S*n (completely paywalled) and the Telegraph (most good stuff paywalled). Those minority rags there.
Report moisok July 7, 2017 12:47 PM BST
as I was saying
I am amused by the guardian of free speech being completely the opposite

I laugh how they exclude almost any news about critiques of islam.

You do wonder at their agenda.

They mistakenly opened the one on Paris ho ho

One would have thought that in today's times, people would stop acting surprised when they see a news agency following their own agenda?
Report pxb July 7, 2017 1:05 PM BST
The Daily Mail has mastered news in the 21st century. I hear they are making money hand over fist. Can't speak to Fox and the Times. I didn't know the Times was still around.

'fraid not.

they aren't making that much money and they haven't mastered it.

they get a lot of traffic, a phenomenal amount actually, but their impact is incredibly weak, both in terms of journalistic influence and the advertising revenue they get online. their costs are also huge compared to other people like upworthy or buzzfeed.

there is also almost nothing unique to the "service" that they provide, which is largely grot and clickbait distraction, and of no real consequence. in fact it's worse than that, in that in striving to have such a broad appeal, it weakens its value, both in terms of how easily its visitors will go elsewhere, and advertising.

not sure which one is the worsterist for click bait

mail  expresso or gruniad

but you don't get much in the way of 'fashion' items in the grun   nudge nudgeWink
Report saddo July 7, 2017 6:52 PM BST
Surely they are pushing fashionable hijabs to their lady readers, so they don't offend or excite muslim men when they go out?
Report moisok July 7, 2017 6:53 PM BST
I know on the grun they are silly erses  but you tend not to see any big ones on there

with most of the red tops you see plenty

I beg to differ. They have got the formula of pictures, video and just the facts right. And are not consumed by their political agenda.

On the internet, in whatever space, there is generally only one winner, and in the mass market english language news, it looks to be the Daily Mail, as they capture more and more readers in the USA and Australia (my mrs reads it). No uniqueness required.
