A 'teaching' career of 30 years.
A catalogue of depraved offending at his religious establishment reportedly between 1996 and 2006, until it was burned to the ground. Oh unhappy day.
Just the 21 years then has passed for the first revolting crime to be successfully prosecuted.
The court also heard from victims that this teacher inflicted corporal punishment on pupils in his classes. If true, this happened despite corporal punishment being outlawed in UK schools for several decades. Did no-one tell him, or are there some UK educational facilities where UK/EU law does not apply?
I can only think that no adult in the fine establishment heard, saw or knew anything about this serial abuse of children, less still of course those in the wider community, otherwise his 'teaching' career could have been terminated and police summoned immediately. Right?

My primary school had a molester too. teacher for ten year olds to twelve.
my class was split into two at age ten a-m went to one teacher and n-z went into his class. Half of my friends went into this guys swamp.
I never knew anything about it till I was forty and they reported it in the local paper.
How many lives did he ruin.

The appalling offender I referred to in the opening post has been sentenced to 13 years in jail.
We can only hope this is the end of his abuse of children.
Let's hope this outcome will give courage to other victims of this type of child abuse to come forward.

I know someone who was hit with a stick at every quran lesson, this is standard teaching practice according to her. She never mentioned owt like this though.
