Well here's my dilemma. I have a prison visit on Thursday June 1st. The prison requires photographic id. All I have is a out of date passport with a photograph that requires deep study to say is recognisable and a bus pass. I got up with a bus pass first time. I have applied for a provisional licence but sadly it doesn't look as if that will come in time. I have brought travel for this visit but am deeply unsure whether I will get in or not. Despite been six times before. I have gave the DVLA permission to speak to the prison if need be. Does anybody have any suggestions to help my cause? I will ring Prison when I'm able to next week to make them aware of what I'm able to bring to prove who I am!

Don't they have a record of your fingerprints from the previous visits?

Haven't had fingerprints taken. The advantage I've got is I have been six times before. I will take old passport. Their are likeable features but at first glance it doesn't look like me. I will ring before hand and let them know what I have.

I shall just go. Say this is all Ive got photo id wise for now. I am a regular visitor to my Friend. I am awaiting my provisonal licence renewal back off the Dvla. They are able to confirm this with you over the phone. They will be able to confirm it was received by them on the 11th May. Whether its being issued or not then. Explain any hold up if need be. Best I can do now already paid for train travel. Hopefully be let up having been before and hopefully accept what I have under the circumstances.

I suppose its no big deal or end of world if I didnt get in. As I have another visit booked up 5 days later on Tuesday 6th June. By that time provisonal licence will probably come. Hopefully I get up for both visits. His in for Stabbing and due out on Licence soon anyhow. I will Try my best with Thursday as regards what Ive got and info I can give from the dvla. Best I can do under the circumstances.

Ive just put my finger over hair on passport photo. It looks alot like me so I should be fine. I will suggest that to person on check in in a nice way. Be up in a brezze then.

A mate of mine was in jail for a serious crime knew him since 15 when he got out he tried to make contact and no one i knew thought twice of letting this guy communicate with them.He may be changed but how can you take that chance and i wouldn't care if he was or not grew up with him for years and the crime to be has no second chance.
