Knee jerk reaction is all they can do,Armed police on streets of every major city absolute useless hollow gesture
By:
would be much better if they spent their resources on investigating where the problem comes from in THIS country but no - it is running around in circles reacting instead of acting before anything happens
but they won't too many votes to loose. |
By:
Anyone would think nothing was being done by Government from the comments on here from posters
with all the solutions.Maybe it's to appease these sorts of people who are cynical. |
By:
If they put one on every street, in every town, it will still be ineffective, and won't stop the kind of attack as in Manchester!
By:
They need to put people in every place but not out on the streets.
By:
A security expert summed it up this morning when he said it would be impossible to eliminate all crime
in this country. |
By:
no we don't want them on the streets, whats needed is people known to be a danger to us to be deported at the very least,to hell with tolerance
By:
Im all for having the army at large scale events, concerts and things incase anyone gets clever and tries to do something like Paris.
But I wouldnt be surprised if it wasnt just all about MPs wanting more protection. |
By:
no not crime - and that is precisely what they want it to be
the muslim appologist on sky was saying that he wanted it turned into a crime not a muslim terrorist attack (which it was) like you barking they want to confuse the issue so we don't look at the actual problem and where it is coming from they are desperately trying to deflect attention away from their so called religion |

We are apparently at the moment keeping an eye on 500 possible suspects with 3,000 on a list .

By:
we need some form of military rule.

The next person to blow themselves up in Europe wont be call Brian Smith

democracy can not continue in a straight line, it must always be interrupted short non democratic periods.
this is the nature of democracy. |
By:
What you say and do doesn't matter one iota unless you're working for British security forces they probably
laugh at naive people like you. |
By:
it is not a case of putting the military on the streets, we need to put them in power.
By:
We're in the run up to an election, it's just to try and score points, up until the bomb May was having a rancid time, she was losing points, coming across weak and making u-turns, she's using the bombing to her advantage, nothing more, if you think politicians won't use the murder of kids to their benefit you're deluded.
By:
this carnage is not going to help any government
By:
should the military be prepared to go on the streets, under the present government, under a labour government?
I don't know. |
By:
I would prefer to see the military in power.
By:
Are you after a Coup d'etat lfc1971?
By:
Don't worry they are British and know how to behave.
By:
There's madness in the method. You only put the army on the streets when there is an armed uprising or threat of military invasion.
By:
Are you after a war then barking mad? You seem to want to stir it up by asking lots of provocative questions.
You even implied i was after more terrorist attacks. You need to be careful slinging words and innuendo around like that. |
By:
There you go again twisting my words after you accused me of being a sympathizer.
By:
put that down as moisoks first insult breedingmad

an army should not be deployed as part of the social services, that is one thing.
an army must be respected, and feared to some measure. |

Blocked him so now he has nowt to say

By:
Pathetic - can't keep up the debate - or they report you. grassed up g2d too.
By:
other nations, and other people who do not fear the British army will not respect them.
By:
it's great
had breakfast with the s.a.s a pint with Royal Marines only kidding |
By:
Wouldn't it be wonderful if all this huge energy, outpourings, attention, concern, questions etc had been applied before the attack??
By:
its all being done at the request of the police according to Mr Fallon......... yeah right, nothing to do with making our weak PM look strong and stable
By:
A totally futile and expensive waste of money...Teresa not doing herself any favours with this knee jerk reaction.
By:
so who exactly has been cutting the army and police for 10 years or more???
By:
It is posturing I'm afraid. Taxpayers money would be better spent on increasing money to the police and intelligence forces. When one of these b@astards slips through the cracks it is an oft used argument that there are not the resources to track each and every target. I don't care if Labour or the Tories are in govt - the security/intelligence services should always be adequately funded so they are not trying to do their job with one hand tied behind their backs. Also, when did it become customary for the police force to be faced with cuts constantly? I remember the Tories of the 80s were keen on police funding.

By:
look at the people on the platform now showing on sky if you want to know why there is a problem
reading from prepared speeches I am getting sick of this appeasement garbage. just words |
By:
all too long too late
now events being held in manchester to celebrate what exactly they were cheering and clapping last night I would have thought it more appropriate to respect those who have lost loved ones not yell and clap. why wasn't there concern before the attack there have been enough warnings |
By:
with more attacks to come
