Why is the lead story on News at 10, do we not have anything more newsworthy going on at the moment in the UK

It was the lead story because our journalists spend all their time watching American news channels and talk shows, and it is the lead story over there.

Watched that film about Watergate the other night, All The Presidents Men (Redford & Hoffman). Seen it about 5 times, and still get tensed up watching it even though I know the story and the ending. Real quality well made film about 2 lowly Washington reporters who grabbed the story and stayed with it, and eventually drove a U.S. President from office.
