your forgiven g2d, wasn't dern in a film called "after the goldrush" seem to remember that from reading the sleeve notes from a neil young album of the same name, anyway I thought both movies of 3.10 to Yuma were both great

NeilYoung wrote the songs to his album After The Goldrush, inspired by a screenplay ( of the same name), that had come into his possession.. However, nothing came of the film. Although the album has become a classic Young album, full of brilliant tracks. |

Just got around to watching this for the first time last night. I agree with Slippy. Never mind being the best western ever, if there's a better film of any sort out there, then I can't imagine what it is.
I can see why Eastwood was desperate to get Hackman to play Little Bill. It was like watching Popeye Doyle at work a hundred years earlier sometimes. I kept expecting him to ask the "Duck of Death" whether he ever picked his feet in Poughkeepsie. Even the poor subtitles on ITV4 didn't spoil it: "could of", "should of" etc., for god's sake. And randomly mixing up the colours of the speakers' lines. Had to rewind the w@nking discussion a couple of times in order to lipread whether it was Eastwood or Freeman who was content to use his hand. By the way, does anyone know whether anything is cut from the ITV4 version? |
