I am just thinking of debt and immigration - Labour started it and the tory lot finished it off
why bother voting for any of them
in the end they are mainly there for their careers - expenses fuelled lifestyle

' "The most vulnerable and the poorest people are treated by this government with a callous brutality that is disgraceful. It's a brutality that extends to keeping out refugee children that we promised to help. That's a disgrace. But films can do many things; they can entertain, they can terrify, they can take us to worlds of the imagination, they can make us laugh, and they can tell us something about the real world we live in.
And in that real world it is getting darker, as we know..
And in the struggle that's coming between the rich and the powerful, the wealthy and the privileged, and the big corporations and the politicians who speak for them on the one hand, and the rest of us on the other - then the filmmakers know which side they are on, and despite the glitz and the glamour of occasions like this, we are with the people."
Ken Loach's acceptance speech at the BAFTA awards was a savage attack on the Conservatives government's of both Theresa May & David Cameron.
Iain Duncan Smith will go down in British political history as a Minister for Misery & Death. The political agenda of Austerity was a callous mauling of the vulnerable by a monstrous Tory government.
Democratic Socialism is the only means to channel the force of capitalism to the benefit of all - without it all we get is Crony Capitalism.
Without democratically accountable leadership, the masses are left to fend for themselves, fighting each other for ever dwindling services.
Without the sense of togetherness & collective exhibited by our ancestors - who defeated the Nazis and built the Welfare State out of the rubble - we are doomed to be divided and conquered, forever. '
Vote Labour !!

A Norwich man has placed a £10,000 bet on Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn becoming the next prime minister.
Bookmaker Betfred said the man, who is thought to be in his 20s, made the bet in one of the company’s Norwich shops yesterday.
It is the joint-largest bet made in the country on the Islington North candidate and his party to win the general election on June 8.
The man, who has not been named, placed £6,000 on Mr Corbyn to be the next prime minister at 12/1 odds.
A further £3,000 was bet on the Labour party winning the most seats at 20/1.
And £1,000 - at 40/1 odds - was placed on Labour to achieve the majority of seats next month.

Tell me ,what have the Tories actually done for you
The main thing they have done for people is to keep the Labour party out of power and limit the damage they were doing. That in itself is enough to thank the Tories for.
As for the current Labour front bench. I don't believe they're capable of governing the country. If elected their incompetence would simply lead to another election within a year or two.

Quite obviously the Tories are going to continue to shaft the working class. However that same working class have become so obsessed with Brexit fuelled by years of rubbish from the right wing papers that clearly the Tories will get a good majority. These mugs blaming immigration for their problems will continue to be sold the lie and fall for it. The Labour front bench are a poor lot, but any working class person who thinks a large Tory majority is a good thing for them really is incredibly clueless.

Ye Gods, I just read that Farron news report above. Where did they find this moron? Do they REALLY think that's going to be a game-changer, a real vote-winner in ANY constituency, let alone a marginal?
