tim marshall summed it up perfectly if some middle class ,uni type working in politics, civil service etc was saying the same things as robinson he wouldnt be getting labled a fascist just somebody highlighting the problems of working class people in the uk today

Except Robinson isn't any of the things his accusers say he is and can prove it.

He's gone up against worse than a hand picked audience and a panel who haven't a clue who he is and what he stands for in fact my bet is if he managed to control himself and let other people talk / hang themselves telling the world what he is and isn't, he'd do just fine on Question Time.

Griffin highlighted the Muslim rape gangs as long ago as 2003 . He was ignored.

The truth came out in the last 2 years. Even then the terms ' muslim' or 'Pakistani' or 'white girls' were omitted.

Griffin warned of Islam in his interviews prior to the 2010 election. I recall it vividly. Although not a Christian man he said (of the faiths) only Christianity should be encouraged by Govt.

What's happened today? Kids as young as 5 are going to be taught about the threat of Islamic terrorism....

I don't particularly care for the guy and I don't agree with most of his views, but he should be allowed to speak freely for the following two reasons:

1. Freedom of speech obviously has to apply even when you don't like what someone's saying.
2. Trying to silence the anti-immigration brigade and accuse them of racism at every opportunity is very likely counter-productive, hence the rise of of Trump, Le Pen, Farage, Robinson etc. As Einstein said, the definition of a total fking idiot is someone who does the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.

Having taken the time to read his book if anything he's an extreme liberal.

Confronted the real racists who leeched onto the EDL and resigned when this became too big a problem. Joined the BNP when he thought it was the answer to the rise of aggressive Islam - and resigned immediately when they wouldn't accept his friendships with blacks and Sikhs.

Now seems to be forging his own path in a manner not everyone would choose and definitely comes with baggage and attitude but if you can't get over that, then you're the bigot.
