Will Corbyn resign if Labour lose the election?

There's no way Corbyn HAS to resign at all, and while he retains the support of the £3 Entryists, the thugs and the Peace-Loving Postal-Voting Segregated Meeting Community, he can be unassailable Leader-for-Life if he wishes. He can then emulate some of the malodorous dictators he admires so much. 

I would imagine that there would have to be a breakaway 'Sane Labour' party created to run in parallel.

I think if Labour lose catastrophically,which I fear is likely,then Corbyn will resign. Of course one man's catastrophe might be another man's triumph.

I think he goes.  If he doesn't Labour will split, which is probably a good thing.  And because it's a good thing he'll make sure it doesn't happen by resigning.

Not likely, the blame will be put on those who didnt get the scoislaist message over to the electorate enough. It will follow the familiar theme of 'we are sorry that the voters didn't understand our message sufficiently' style but we will listen to the electorate (as many times before) and tell them a bit louder next time.

Honestly though if they do take a pasting I don't know how he could stay on.  The unions wouldn't support him.

A sense of deja vu today as McDonnell claims its a mixed bag of results andCorbyn says we have to get out and get our message across more !!Not that the voters want something else from us. F.....g pathetic.

McDonnell was terrible all day trying to pick positives from the carnage.
Reasonable night for the SNP but utterly fantastic one for the Tories.
Said this elsewhere, big Agnes could be on his way out. Hope he takes a few more with him.

I smile when the pundits compare last night's results and say it could be much different in June.It sure will be,last night Labourwas shored up by some excellent councillors who have worked hard to keep their vote up,next month will be more of straight May or Corbyn focus and it could be a rout.

Corbyn has said he will not give up the leadership () of the Labour Party if they take a hammering at the general election. Imagine if he did get power, red flag comrades

Confirmed : Corbyn says he WON'T resign as Party Leader even if Labour lose this election.

I've said it many times before. Corbyn is not interested in power,he just wants to smash the Labour Party to pieces and hope that when the bits fall to the floor him and his minority movement get to keep the piece with the "Labour"  name on it.

Corbyn will only resign when he is instructed to by his boss McDonnell who is leader in all but name.

If he doesn't resign after a crushing loss, I would imagine  NEW NEW Labour will have to form.

He's just said in Manchester that he wants to ruin the Tory Party in four weeks time. Looks like he's going for the double.

Milliband lost 26 seats in 2015. 10%. (258 to 232 seats).

If Corbyn lost 30 seats that could be regarded as ok.

Only a  matter of time before David Miliband is invited back from USA to save the party from disintegrating. He has stood apart from it all and isnt tainted by the mutual backstabbing.
