She did the same interview on radio 4 this morning a couple of hours earlier.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p051q0nt

John Humphrys was the interviewer.

Considering the mess she got into there, you'd have thought she'd have been a little better prepared for Nick Ferrari.

It's quite startling to think that she would be the Home Secretary if Labour won the GE.

There seems something wrong with her. Is she having another migraine?

As said before she's on Daily Politics now.
The interviewer is certainly helping her out there.

Listen to that interview and ask yourself this question - "could I do a better job of shadow Home Secretary than Diane Abbott?" I'd be amazed if the answer wasn't YES. Never has there been a more incompetent person to hold such a position, what a pathetic embarrassment to the Labour Party and the country. Imagine what other countries will think when they see that debacle, an absolute shambles.

This is the thing that resonates with me the most.  Yes, it's hilarious and excruciating on one level, but this is the best the Opposition can manage in the UK.  I would LOVE to not have to vote Conservative in the upcoming general election, but how can you not when this is the alternative?!?  Truly terrifying.  Sad

And here's what McDonnell did yesterday for May Day.

A meeting of Labour minds.

Stand down everyone, it's OK.

Good old Diane has said she 'misspoke' about this subject. So that's OK then.

The actual policy of having 10,000 more new cops was good, but policies have to be efficiently presented by competent politicians. And Diane Crash Abbot was badly fumbling over her figures £300,000 or £80million......Just listened again, was she drunk or something, that was stunningly unprofessional.

That's absolutely amazing ThebetterBettor.

I'm sure everyone will forgive Diane when they realise Donald Trump got an American Civil War date wrong.

Carry on Diane all is forgiven.

you,ve got to love sky booting a dead dog like labour as it,s laid on the ground,saying their 300 million quid bill for extra police will cost 350 mill if their pay goes up with inflation even though its capped at 1% max

Don't you just love the way those communists were marching under giant portraits of the mass murderer "Uncle Joe" Stalin? I wonder if the shadow chancellor was carrying his copy of the little red book by Chairman Mao, someone responsible for even more deaths than Stalin, when he was in power.

Same old biased right wing reporting of this , the tories on the phone and all over the airwaves making a mountain out of a molehill , sure yes she was very poor in the interview but is that clown Johnson any better ? , I don't think so still its more false news to feed to the sheep
By:

Maybe anxious, but these are precisely the sort of moments that resonate with the public - the woman is Shadow Home Secretary for crying out loud.
By:

When: 02 May 17 17:01
Not false news at all.She made a right cows arse of that interview and for Corbyn to come out and say it wasn't embarrassing tells you all you need to know about the man.Comparing Johnson to Abbot is like comparing Barcelona to Leyton Orient.Labour are a busted flush and Abbots abysmal performance this morning just underlined that fact.

Jed do you really believe most of them are not briefed by advisors and the civil service when in power , yes I agree it was a poor interview and I don't think she is of high calibre anyway , but the fact is that the real policies are never debated and what we are left with is tit-for tat ya boo confrontations all the time , and then people moan about the standard of most of them , that's why the public disengage and would rather watch Emmerdale.
By:
Jack Hacksaw
When: 02 May 17 17:43
Of course she would have been briefed.  Which makes her performance all the more cringe-worthy.

For your policies to be debated you need some basic grasp of words and numbers for people to know what the hell you are talking about.

The latest opinion polls for the general election have been released after being commissioned by Diane:

CON = -75%
LAB = 28,000%
LIBDEM = 30 miles per hour
UKIP = 2 apples + 3 bananas

Perhaps she thought that as it was on LBC it wouldn't matter as only stupid Labour voters in London would hear it?

In a way, it would have been more newsworthy if she'd actually said something coherent.

Is there ANY Labour supporter who thinks this woman is an asset to the Labour Party, and a valuable contributor to public life?  The sums of public money spent on this individual in the last 30 years must be staggering.

Fairly obvious if it wasn't for the ethnic vote the toxic Abbot would be dead in the water by now.
