It's not only in interview though that a politician's obvious shortcomings are exposed. She was awful and so was Theresa May on Marr show (but not as bad as Abbot). Ffs these people are meant to be professionals ?
Theresa is so annoying when avoiding and not answering questions, and the way she keeps repeating slogans like 'strong and stable', automated politics, very poor, weak and wobbly. And not surprising why she doesn't want to do a TV debate ! Diane, well, that was horrendous ! |

I kid you not. This REALLY happened, and WE paid for it. " Abbot is indeed absolutely woeful, but the gleeful over-reaction to this says more about the people reacting to it imo. She stated the wrong country; it was a mistake. There was indeed a drought in Davao del Norte, but it's in nearby Phillipines, not Indonesia. Frankly, the smartarse answer (rather than correcting the error) is even more embarrasing than the blunder. |

I am not sure it is the job of the Foreign Secretary to educate the opposition on geography.
If Diane is going to line them up, why shouldn't Justine knock them in. The question was amusing, as anyone can make a mistake like that, but the interview must be very worrying for potential labour voters. |

Like I say, I think Abbot is absolutely woeful and embarrassing.

Just listened to the interview. That is brilliant!
She is just plucking random numbers out if the air. OMG I'm still laughing here. She gabbled everything from 250 to hundreds of millions without the slightest clue what she was talking about at all. What about when she said Labour would employ 250000 more policemen. 250000! said the interviewer? Er no said Diane, 250 and then a 1000. And how much will it cost? Er, ten thousand, no, eighty million, er, one hundred and sixty nine point one million in the first year! Absolutely clueless, that has got to be the worst and funniest interview by a prominent politician ever! Diane Abbott - shadow Home Secretary. |

Listen to that interview and ask yourself this question - "could I do a better job of shadow Home Secretary than Diane Abbott?" I'd be amazed if the answer wasn't YES. Never has there been a more incompetent person to hold such a position, what a pathetic embarrassment to the Labour Party and the country. Imagine what other countries will think when they see that debacle, an absolute shambles.
