Hi: I am having a similar problem since Amazon firestick. I do NOT stream music, videos and/or movies, and my television turns itself on after several times throughout the day of turning it off (housewife). I have resulted to just letting it stay on and just keep the volumn off (down). Can anyone give me a suggestion on what to do? This can't be good for my electric bill. HELP!!!!

The tv is turning itself back on, this is the reason why I turn the volumn down. I'm watching another tv in another room. The tv that turns itself on is upstairs and I'm in my living room downstairs.
My tv is doing the same thing. It just randomly comes on out of nowhere. Only started doing this after having the firestick. Because my regular remote is broken so you have to use the tv to turn on etc. Do anyone knows what's going on
Same here, my TV keeps turning on, even after I put firetv to sleep
They never sleep

I'd a tv that very annoyingly always tried to switch to any device plugged in when you turned it on, when normally I just want the DTV.

what I don't understand is how the video starts playing? it was on pause, when I switch over to fire stick and it's been left on youtube, I still manually have to press play, but this switches itself of automatically?
