When Rome fell -- and Brittania was on its own !!

The barbarians north of the Wall mounted succesful raids into
Brittania , as the Legions had left the wall and the local militias were undermanned
and not really fighters or soldiers.
The country starved .
The leader Paullinius sent a group of envies to the Romans for help.
The first time they sent Germanus who rallied the varioys militias and villagers
into a cohesive fighting force who drove the Blue painted savages back behind the wall.
But he left for Gaul and the hordes came back , raping, murdering, pillaging what little the locals had.
A second group to the Romans and Germanus , retired and now a Bishop , answered the call from his keaders and returned to Brittania.. only to lose his life to the babarians..
We got his body back to Gaul , where it lies today, and he is venerated as a Saint.
Paullinius sent a 3rd group of enviys to the Ronan Keaders, but Europe was now full of brigands and starvation everywhere.. good men lost their lives, incl the group of envoys..
if they had made it to the Romans they would have found their keader was a puppet anyway ,under the rule of different barbarians..unable to help .
So Europe and Brittania desxended into the Dark Ages..andmisery.
The once mighty villas now ruins,the vines all gone , peace and irder vanquished.
The glory that was Rome trodden into the earth.
