Two topics of interest on my FB page. One about a girl being adopted, and the other stating that Helen Mirren committed suicide during filming.
First one fine but clicking on the Helen Mirren photo put up a full screen message about a virus and computer being blocked and, in front of that another message asking for info. This was accompanied by some American, droning on about I know not what, as I couldn't tell what he was saying!
The only "Close X" was on the message asking for info and there was nothing showing where I could close down so had to do a "Force shut down".
Fortunately I'm back on, but a little concerned that my AV and Malware programmes didn't pick it up!
As I said beware, and I wish I had thought fast enough to Print Screen!
Sounds like a new variant of this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3810733/Brad-Pitt-death-hoax-actually-malware-destroy-phones-computers-expose-sensitive-information-hackers.html
Change your password and scan everything imo.
From the above: The hoax site has also run false articles about the deaths of Vin Diesel, Nicolas Cage, Jaden Smith, Jim Carrey, Sylvester Stallone and John Cena. Just last month, they ran a similar hoax story about Angelina Jolie dying. If someone falls for the hoax, their Facebook information is subjected to being obtained by the hackers. Facebook suggests changing Facebook passwords and running its malware scanner if users have already clicked the link.
