Thank you FM
I've noticed it before, throughout the last couple of years. There's SO much Gung-honess going on. Everywhere you look - In the Papers and on TV. Subliminal mass brainwashing, I reckon. |

I`m glad i no longer consider myself British
once i was asked by a barber was i Swedish, and then American. i like to answer such nationalist questions with a steely silence. |

There is very little imagination amongst TV makers and programme commissioners, lfc.
Partly because they're all frightened to 'rock the boat' and do anything which isn't grovelling enough to get them a fresh 6 month contract when the next project comes about and partly because they're not very bright. But all this "British" stuff seems more an agenda than is normal. There's no benefit to being patriotic, yet everyone is convinced they should be! |

By:
i agree studyform that with most countries there is not much to be patriotic about.
but Britain is different, its very difficult to create a successful country. Take a look around the world, the best we can hope for is that things don't get worse? |

Gonna pitch an idea to Tony Hayers at The BBC
'Strictly British Celebrity X-Factor' I mean the name alone should wheel in 20 million viewers a week. Dunno what the format will be but get Ant n' Dec in there.....Mel and Sue...Mr Ubiquity himself, Matt Dawson.....a public vote....it's got 'winner' written all over it! |
