What PC leftie brigade has been claiming this? I never see the PC leftie brigade when such claims are made.

NHS is overloaded in the most part - for those of you using 8% extra population as the blame - by systematic closure of the NHS
in 1979 there were 352,000 hospital beds.
in 2016 the were 140,000 hospital beds.

Still, so long as we don't blame the government, eh?

A Conservative MP has been accused of adding to the trauma of child refugees arriving from Calais after demanding teeth checks to weed out adults in disguise.

The British Association of Social Workers joined criticism of David Davies, after the Monmouth MP said “hulking teenagers who look older than 18” should undergo the tests.

Ruth Allen, the Association’s chief executive, told the BBC Radio 4 Today programme that such tests would be unethical.

She said: “We are talking about young people, children, of course adults as well, who have often been through incredible amounts of trauma, torture and abuse.

“Intrusive medical tests are not necessarily going to be at all appropriate and would be considered to be very intrusive and would be retraumatising.”

Ms Allen agreed with the British Dental Association (BDA) that dental checks are not accurate, calling for the focus instead to be on the “hundreds of children” in the camp who had a right to come to the UK.

Another quote from The Mirror..

"A spokesman said it was "vigorously opposed" to dental X-rays on asylum seekers, adding: "It's not only an inaccurate method for assessing age, but it is both inappropriate and unethical to take radiographs of people when there is no health benefit for them."

Which is complete bullshine as the verdict in that murder case proved.

The records in the OP would have been gathered from dental treatment I suspect.  Dental X-rays increase cancer risk and I would imagine any radiologist using X-rays for a non-medical purpose would risk disciplinary action.

Hmmm, so we are in the position of having to believe anything we are told by any foreigners who claim to be refugees, not great is it.

On the contrary, they should answer a vast number of questions about their origin and journey,  travelling companions etc.  Non-cooperation should be actioned accordingly.  I will also be rather annoyed if dna samples aren't taken.

Looking at those who came in as children I think no official vetting was done and we caved in to those who forced themselves to the front of the queue. Most of the "checks" in Calais were done by charity workers, I believe.

For what's it worth my GP told me the government could double the NHS budget and it would still make it untenable. You would think different but he's been doing the job for 35 years..
