Just had a bar and now feel sick.

Shouldn't be called chocolate, more a sweet bar of fat.

Mrs mememe in trouble when she gets in from t'pit for buying it, after she's washed herself down in t'yard.  Green & Blacks from now on.

wasn't deep fried.

It was the last of the ones Mrs mememe bought for the grandchildren.

When she gets in and after she's had a flea in her ear, I'm going to tell her I ate it to save their little teeth.

I'm a martyr to my family like that.  Always putting them first.

I used to love Duncans Hazelnut chocolate bars but think the firm went bust. Sad

Kraft changed it - then they started to mix everything they could find with it. To make the choco more profitable. Less choc more fruit.

I just by the economy bar now at 30p. the tesco one is ok.
sainsbury sells their 30p bar for 50p?
morrisons 30p bar is like cooking chocolate.
they had a fruit n nut bar for 30p which I liked,
so they got rid of it.. Fkers. mind reading bustards.

I will not buy Toberone anymore - money diggin bustards. 170g now 150g?

inflation has been happening and they've been hiding it for years.
70p bus ticket now £2,10?
This year BREXIT will be blamed for inflation. BS. they're just going to start charging you for the thing, instead of snipping bits off it.

There was a documentar about making chocolate over christmas. They get the ingredients over bulk from africa and have to process it all, filter it etc.
Apparently get a lot of african coins in it. They didn't mention how much bird (or other) **** :P

Mememe is right, CDM contains 56.0 % by weight sugar, 30.5 % by weight fat. That's 86.5% of the total.

Eat it as part of a balanced diet, as they say.

Didn't look at the contents list, just ate it (only a small bar) and felt sick afterwards.

Horrible, horrible stuff.  Now I know why it didn't taste chocolatey ... there was no fookin chocolate in it!

How can they call it chocolate?

Should be called chocolate flavoured energy bar.

Cadburys Fruit & Nut always use to be my favourite chocolate, don't buy 'em any more since they changed the recipe and also put in sultanas instead of all raisins, and the chocolate is horrible now !

Fin Carre Milk Chocolate Fruit & Nut from Lidl is much better than this horrible stuff from Cadburys.

It is very similar to the Hershey bar which is also produced by Kraft. The 1.55 ounce bar which I calculate to be 44 grams is claimed to contain 13 grams of fat and 24 grams of sugar. 37 grams out of 44 grams is 84 % by weight.

Where do they get the brown colouring from, then?

I initially thought that was the chocolate, but as it taste like sh1t, then it probably is sh1t ...

The old saying comes to mind - if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then it probably is sh1t.

Just to correct the 17:27 post. Hershey's are not owned by Kraft, they have the right to manufacture and distribute some Cadbury's products in the USA.
I knew there was a connection but had to check the details. Hershey are the biggest chocolate manufacturer in the USA.
Report bix February 19, 2017 7:06 PM GMT
i think there wa a fuss some years ago when the EU said Cadbury's chocolate contained such a small amount of chocolate that it did not constitute a chocolate bar. And that was before they changed the recipe.
Report annie. February 19, 2017 7:24 PM GMT
I agree about lidl's chocolate.  They do five small bars of 49% milk chocolate for just £1.25 and it is very nice.  They also do a large selection of chocolate at absurdly cheap prices.
Report Coachbuster February 19, 2017 7:42 PM GMT
anything mass produced in the UK/USA is bound to be sh1t
