The world is mad,but I think that the people who walk this earth at this moment are the worst group of people ever to be the caretakers of our beautiful planet.
Now I know every generation blames the one before it,but its my view that the group in charge of earth this very day(5th feb 2017) are the worst in living history.

It said how it's no longer 'survival of the fittest' as the smarter ones have less to no kids & the scumbags all have 3 or 4 , which get well supplemented by the benefits system (maybe not a great life but paid for)
This is sadly true in todays environment so the evolution of our generations (and def future ones) can only get worse from here !

I am 27 and a part of this worst generation ever. I won't defend my generation. Because ive been hearing this eversince i was born and i guess i was in my early teens when i thought, surely every generation must think the same about the next generation? I was constantly told shampoos and face creams weren't there in my parents times. Its a scam. It'll turn my hair white. That the food i was munching on was not good. that computer was destroying the generation. and a lot of similar crap that wasn't necesarily wrong, but what was the point?

Also, when you blame the next generation, aren't you actually accepting that you were yourself among an even worse generation? Because the generation didnt invent anything on their own. They all lived their lives according to what resources had been given to them by the previous generation. You could argue that they should use the resources(like phones, laptops) in a better way, rather than playing games all day. But even then, it can be argued that it was the previous generation that was unable to bring up the kids in the right way.

And when i see people who are in their teens now, it is laughable what difficulties they face in life. And they call it stress. I thought you were stressed or worried when your parents died and you were young, or you were diagnosed with a bad disease. But nowadays stress is when your welfare money runs out. or when you havent studied for the exam. Of course I think about these kids the same way as you do, but whats the point? Every generation does that, dont they? Is there any older person here who actually heard his parents say, son, your generation is definitely better than ours?

Report detraveller February 6, 2017 9:24 PM GMT
but when i vote, im voting for someone from the older generation. If we are the last generation, then its the generation before us that has to be held accountable. Because if the people we've voted in destroy the world(say US/Russia war), its your generation, not mine. Comparing generations is an exercise in futility. Placing the blame on one geneation doesn't make sense because its the generation before that that determines how this generation grows up.

You mentioned the generation being 1988 onwards. We've only lived less than half our lives and probably none of us have reached the level where we can impact politics, education etc. So its really harsh to call us the worst generation ever based on half our lifespan. Probably 40 years down the road you'll be in a position to judge this generation. But I am 200% sure we'll already have started blaming the next generation by then. Again, im not interested in defending any generation, the comparison is simply meaningless.

This study recorded the age of the scientists when they had done the work that was rewarded with the prize and found that the centre points for age were: physics, 34; chemistry, 37; medicine, 40 (Marchetti C, 2002.) A study published in 1993 investigated a similar data set and concluded that scientists tend to be the most productive in their mid-thirties (Stephan & Levan, 1993.) Finally, a 2008 study of 300 randomly selected bioscientists revealed that the most productive age was 36-40 (Falagas et al., 2008) based on the number of citations from their publications."

I suppose its like comparing a football team over many years and then saying which set of players were the best,or which team were the best,or who was the best manager.but as we are talking about this planet each generation can only take care of it to the best of their ability. Each generation only gets one shot at it and there is no safety net.History will tell each generation what not to do.For example World wars have educated everyone, bombs are a no no,etc, but if you have a generation that fail to respect previous generations then you have a problem. And if the generation are more interested in facebook and twitter that reading to educate themselves its a recipe for disaster. It is quite clear to me that this generation does not value human life.and that is the most important fact I can think of at the moment.now people can argue with me any way they want but the fact remains nobody cares bar a few.And any one who thinks different can tune into the world news ,this will collaborate my view.
