The facts are there, whatever the source.

They may not suit the agenda, or the Trump love-in.
People have a right to be scared.

And as I have just shown a little sample of, not necessarily of muslims or foreigners.

The biggest worry is sad, lonely men sitting all day on the computer in their rat-holes, whipping themselves into a frenzy (without the use of porn).

Many posters on here are more worrying than the stuff they keep harping on about.

Just to clarify are we talking about shootings, mass murders or shooting mass murders now?

Hello anyone there?

Study you are aware that Obama identified these 7 countries as the biggest dangers to the USA.

You could take "shootings and mass murders" my original phrase, as a general term and stop the pedantry and using your responses as deflection.
You could also show me where I'm wrong.

Source?

Do you mean as a general term for emm Shootings and Mass Murders?
That clears it up.
By:

Well shootings would include any person who has been shot and mass murders would include 9/11 so if you think that it's pedantry then you really are clueless. Given your link you posted it seems you may be talking about mass murders by shooting but it would be helpful if you could at least clarify. I'm doing you a favour as well to try and not make you look like more of a muppet than your already do.

Incidentally, Obama was warning US citizens about VISITING the 7 countries, given the general anti-US sentiment in them.
NOT stopping them from travelling.

Like it would make any fecking difference to anything anyway.

It's all a sop for the red neck to hoot and holler about and for some reason this seems to exteNd to this country and this forum, ad nauseum.

It was the basis for your post surely?
You call it a 'love-in for trump, why?
I admire his actions and wish this country would be as quick to react to a possible threat.
Remember it's not a whole scale ban but a temporary measure.
By:

9/11 was ONE event. It may well have been the most devastating, but I am talking about the numbers of murderous crimes (killing many people in an event).

Count the events. You can include non-shootings if you like - if you can find any.... well, there was the Oklahoma bombing.

The 9/11 bombers were Saudis, not on the baznned list. Trump has business interests there. So the ban - not that it would have worked, wouldn't have worked then either.

The basis for my post was 2-fold, akabula.

First it is a part of the 'love-in' for Trump, so apparent on here.
Second, it responds to the ridiculous opening post, and several of the subsequent ones.

I admire his actions and wish this country would be as quick to react to a possible threat.
Proves my point.
WHAT possible threat? The one politicians keep going on about, to keep themselves in a job?
As I have demonstrated, most threat is from within.
And now from Trump.
Choosing to not believe this doesn't stop it being a fear for those who do.

Where to start Study Laugh

Don't confuse taking the p1ss out of the lefties with a love for Trump.
And as regards dismissing a threat that would be laughable if it wasn't a serious matter.
BTW how does it keep politicians in a job? You saying if their was no threat some of them would be out of a job?
By:
STUDYFORM
When: 05 Feb 17 22:05
Politicians.... Divide and rule. It was benefits claimants a few years ago, now it's immigrants. They create the threat, or at least make it seem worse than it is.
Gather the masses together with a reason to be as one, you get the votes. It's nothing new.

Both Brexit and Trump's campaign were based on fear of/blaming all ills on; immigrants and foreigners.
Even if it wasn't more than a few per cent of people who were swayed (and if you think people weren't influenced in this way, you're wrong), the outcome of the elections would have been different.

I'm not dismissing any threat, I'm merely saying that the bigger threat is already here. That most mass murders (Usually shootings) are carried out by indigenous perpetrators.

We don't have guns and we don't have anywhere near the same level of inequality or self righteousness.

fwiw
In the US and Canada (probably here too), MOST - by a long way, shootings and mass murder attacks are carried out by white Christian males.

wrong ....

The only time I've had a post removed that I can recall was on a Ched Evans thread.  I had no idea you posted that or the context in which is was posted.  I just saw the quote, thought it was misleading and tried to put some factual content on it.  I've always appreciated the time and effort you spent on the forum competitions and think you are one of the good guys.

Not just this thread, where one post has disappeared, but also the Andrew Neil thread, where my 1st post has been removed.
Also, a few posts on other threads in the last week or so.

dont let the bigots annoy you study

betfair banned a few folk and "their friends" were posting on here what
they were saying on some other forum

seems as if the highlight of their day is sitting reporting posts
on here in an attemt to get others banned

i suppose it takes all sorts

its odd they remove posts that are harmless

yet leave posts on politics forum about a libel case where
a betfair poster agrees with the loser in libel case

as the going rate today was £160k plus costs

you would think the mods would have better things to do

It's a kind of trolling, really.
It's definitely members of the massed farage/trump/brexit/leftie inventing and bashing/anti BBC, pseudo right wing crowd who seem so prevalent here.

I don't know why they can't just bugger off to the politics forum. I'm guessing, as I said before and, in the same way the BNP operated, they are asked to infiltrate forums to spread the word.

Actually, when you think about it it's rather sad.
Also it is not good of Betfair or Paddy Power to allow the forums (a vitsl part of the site) to be manipulated like this, nor to take notice of the 'reporters' and ban the good guys!!!

I think Betfair and PP should take a firmer stance in discouraging the buttercups from infiltrating the site. Men who walk around town with I AM SCARED signs around their necks are not likely to be valuable punters on a gambling platform. They should be encouraging normal blokes who like a swig and a bet, not a load of hand wringing petals who are afraid of their own shadows.

I'm as peeved about your above posts being removed as you are Studyform. Even though they were abusive and in clear contravention of forum rules, they both showed you up as a right precious fool who has hissy fits at the drop of a hat, so I'd rather they had stayed put for all to see.

For those that missed them, Studyform called me the C word in two separate posts - one in anagram form and one referencing a retired German footballer. Both times he did so after falling back on the usual defence of a beaten man by prefacing it with something like "I can't be bothered to debate with you anymore, you're a blankety blank etc etc" A common tactic of the lefties on here - lose an argument, have a hissy fit, post something that crosses the line, post removed.
