Mike Oldfield was only a few blocks away in the city of new York when John Lennon was shot dead.To this day many people say that the death of the super star and the moonlight shadow song are connected.even though there are big differences between the words of the song and the murder itself.
Mike Oldfield believed that he was inspired to write the song but cannot explain where the words came from.
