Why has no labour Govtabolished the Lords?

Because although the Labour Party has done some good for this country unfortunately it has been always a party that still is part of the system and has a section of it that are still subservient to the ruling class

If you put forward an act to abolish The House of Lords it would never get through the House of Lords

Most MPs want to go to the Lords at the end of their career even pretend socialists like Prescott.

if it was elected you would get more problems

if it were abolished the work would still need to be done

in absence of a good replacement it has been allowed to continue

They should replace it with a committee chosen from members of chit chat.

I think a lot of em see it as pension entitlement, donny.  3 ton a day they can get for signing in and buggering off if they like.

Not all Lords are worthy because they've done public "good" like Prescott or Kinnock.(and conservative equivalents)

Some are just born into it, some are just appointed.

And if we need a second reference on laws (why, BTW, as surely Commons can get it right) why not a panel of 12 good men and true) or qequivalent to a jury.
