This is not a joking matter..... Chimpanzees are very intelligent and should have the same protection as humans..... These are multiple murders and abductions...... Rich people who buy chimpanzees or any other protected wildlife should be jailed for five years.

Was no evidence the animals parents were slaughtered ,they could have been bred in captivity or in a near captive state ,like human friendly .You cant blame the poor for exploiting animals ,its one of there only natural resources left .
The problems are many but climate change and habit lose due to exploitation is the reasons these species are under threat.

Think this was just a cheap news stunt designed to tug at hearts ,am sure there was more deserving human tragedy stories in that neck of the woods to uncover but would not have had the same impact .Some baby chimp in a nappy looking for its mam ,ffs

It is estimated from past abductions that 10 adults are killed on average to take 1 baby chimp.

They live in groups and will try to defend the young.
