I don't think he is worried about being deported so much as not being allowed home. He is out of the USA at the moment. I think.

If immigration come to his house and ring the bell, he won't hear it.
Clever bloke is Sir Mo, selective hearing is very handy when you're married with four kids. Also he is not a dual national so will have no problems travelling between the UK and US. |

Poor from Trump. Could have challenged Islam in far better ways. Media will highlight all kinds of hard luck stories.
Question: If Mohammed has to stay in Blighty will he pay some tax? ![]() |

Yes Oval. I could add 6-10 more nations if you like.. Algeria's not great lately...
doridoru - take control of borders so overrall immigration is limited. Profile carefully. Build no more mosques. Challenge the Islamic ideology in schools and colleges. Challenge Mohammed's call to martydom etc etc. Not hard, but he aint that bright. (Still better than Clinton though..) |

Challenge the Islamic ideology in schools and colleges
genuine question - wouldn't that be against the first amendment ? |

Exactly what Injera points out. Take full measures instead of half measures aimed at appeasing his voters.
Why ban 7 countries? Is he admitting that the problem is with these 7 countries alone? He is allowing in christians so how does he ensure the bad guys dont come in faking their relgion? The ban is only on muslims. Why does he think that muslims at home in america, who have carried out way more attacks than poeple from these countries(which i read stands at a grant total of zero) are not as dangerous? Is he admitting that the problem lies with the nationalities and not with their beliefs? There are people pointing out that its a start at least. The thing is, if your room is about to be flooded, and there are 4 windows, closing one window does not solve the problem. You either take full measures and seal the room, or redirect the flood somehow. Or just wait and be killed. What Trump is doing is closing one window and telling the poeple the waters not gonna come in. |

Trump is capable of asking the tough questions. But with this move, i seriously doubt his intentions to solve the issue.
There is also a school of thought that says he is going hard at first so that he has the upperhand when he sits on the negotiating table. That is true theoretically. But again, I dont see how making a fool of himself gives him the upper hand. The move was so disorganised, the courts had to block it and the next day the white house comes out and says ohh it doesn't apply to green card holders, when it explicitly states that it does. |

Degs - interesting point! The 1st amendement was targeted at Christians ( I think).
America like the rest of the western world has over complicated things with mass immigration. Whether Islam's treatment of women, attitudes to apostasy and many other traits contravene other amendments is way above my knowledge... detraveller - There is also a school of thought that says he is going hard at first so that he has the upperhand when he sits on the negotiating table. Let's hope he's that bright. I doubt it though. |

Here's a solution for Mo - move the kids here? or let them visit here?
