Under thatcher it was known as 'getting rich quick' or 'pulling the ladder up'.
Its the manifestation of the corporation being the collection of opportunistic individuals all feeding from the trough of other people's misfortune. The race to the bottom. It's funny as corporations are now classed as people in a legal stand point and are given rights as they were people. Its as though the meaning of life was enterprise and everyone has to suckle on the tit of greed. |

All those of you with kodi boxes moaning about the live sport have obviously never heard of sportsmania. An absolutely brilliant service for a good price. You get sky sports, bt sports, fox sports, Racing UK, pretty much every sport channel you could think of plus on demand sections where you can catch up on anything you've missed. The quality of live sport channels in superb. I cant tell the difference between their RUK stream and a broadcast one.
Unfortunately, it got so popular due to being so excellent, that they have stopped new subs, but there is a sister service called Ultimate mania. It's slightly more expensive but as well as sports, it has most of the sky entertainment channels too. A sub to ultimate mania along with exodus and UK Turk add ons will mean never having to turn to sky again. There is a facebook group to help you with any problems and the admins there are very good indeed. They also supply a build which tailors Kodi to the service. Try it for a week to see how you get on. http://www.ultimatemania.rocks/ P.S, I have nothing to do with this company, I am just a very happy subscriber. |

A weeks sub to entertainment and sports is £6. Obviously gets cheaper the longer you subscribe for.

forgive my ignorance here but paying for kodi packages supports who exactly?
|
|
By:
Supports the team who run it, maintain it, constantly add new content, sort out problems, help customers and spend thousands on servers each year all around the world to host the service without fear of it getting shut down.

Wish they hadn't settled the dispute. Managed to watch Egypt v Burkina Faso last night. That's an hour and a half of my life I'll never see again. Bit like my cash on over 2.5......

treble
you mean they are running a business off ripping off a business? |
|
By:
Yes, but why should it bother me that they rip off sky and BT, a pair of greedy b@stards who have spent the last 10 years or so ripping me off? Plus, how else would I get to watch every Arsenal game on telly?
Anyway, the profit isn't much, theres a shedload of costs running a service the size of Sportsmania. |

I dont doubt it, and Im not preaching each to their own.
Ive watched the occasional feed on an ipad app and at times they are pretty ropey, but in many ways thats what you should expect. It should be pretty amateurish. I dont know if professional poncing is the answer really, sure we can all determine value based on what we would pay for something, but equally we could all find a reason to pay nowt. I found that now tv sports subs suits me cos I missed more sport than I paid for anyway and now I can tailor it to suit. |

I think a few of you on here need to get some self-respect. So what if Sky is expensive? All the best things are more often than not.
If you want quality pay the money, it's as simple as that instead of embarrassing yourselves pi$$ing about with Heath Robinson contraptions which might give a good signal if you point the coat hanger aerial in the right direction. Desperate scenes. |

Cheers Jamesdean.
![]() If you paid £100 a year, instead of per month, you'd have a fair bit more to waste on sh1tty African football, Johnny!! ![]() |

I'll be in again tonight Skenbo, overs tickets in hand, watching the, ahem, 'big one', Ghana v Cameroon. Does Roger Millar still play for them I wonder? He was at least 56 last tournament, so why not this one.
|
|
By:
Overs have been a pretty decent price this tournament (so I'm led to believe!!)
If an African footballer says he was 56, you can bet your life he's at least 61! He was the only Cameroon footballer people could name for years. |
|
By:
Ill have you know nobody sees the colour of james' money
Its a closely guarded secret |
|
By:
They've been a decent price because hardly any have landed! With the exception of Eto'o, I still can't name any other Cameroon player other than Millar.
|
|
By:
I can name Song, but I'm not committing myself to a first name.
|
|
By:
Good shout, and there were two of them. I should know because one played for Arsenal and his uncle (?) was called Rigobert.

I think they've struck a deal now?
Eurosport is only of value to be for the Tennis but they only show the slams, two of which are covered by ITV and BBC, so they only have the Aussie slam and US Open. They don't really have much else unless you're into your Cycling. |
