Unfortunately immigration has very little to do with the problems an aging population
along with cuts to Council budgets is the cause of these problems at the moment. |

NHS overwhelmed by increasing demand. That's what happens when you have net migration at a rate of 1 million in 3 years. |

Anyone who cannot understand that an extra million people in the system guarantees that healthcare and all other public services are spread thinner, is not very bright. It must play a part.

Losing billions treating people from all over the world, they're all in on it.
|

By:
No one is arguing that NHS hospital resources are being ' spread thinner ' by extra demands from growing numbers of people using the service.
My comments were directed at ' ' ...millions of economic migrants who are already safe who are coming here and destroying the nhs with their tourist care....' |

it's a business, there can never be too many people wanting to use it for those who work there

That's how it works from top to bottom, and hand in hand with the private sector.

I'm not interested where they are from, facts, a million extra people needs some funding. Difficult for any gov to propose tax increases to pay for infrastructure for newcomers.
|
|

20 billion was the governments own estimation a few years ago.
It will have been more because the NHS staff are keen not to reveal the true numbers |

'.....There is a fairly common misconception that the NHS is intended to provide free healthcare for British people or British taxpayers. However, this is not correct. The purpose of the NHS is to provide free healthcare to British residents. Therefore, foreign nationals who have permission to be in the UK will generally be entitled to free treatment. Asylum seekers are also entitled to free treatment. Conversely, a long-term British citizen, and tax payer, who has subsequently moved abroad is unlikely to be entitled to free treatment on the NHS.....'
This is UK policy. So the Government of the U.K. have a responsibility/ duty bound, to provide sufficient monies and resources to fulfil this obligation. |

exactly so, that's where we are going wrong

Let's go to the polar opposite on the ridiculous scale then Bm. I million people arrive and don't take a single house or school place, or go on a GP's list or need A+E, no one knows they are here at all.
