The problem people have with Putin is he is so much a better leader than we have in the West.
He stand for Russia, Russian interests and Russians everywhere. We could do with someone like him our selves, standing up for this country. Some people still seem to have difficulty accepting the Democratic result of the US election. Recount the votes as many times as they want, it will still be Trump. My only regret is I did put enough money Trump, I missed my chance of a lifetime  |

I am totally sick of the BBC bias against trump, anyone appointed by trump, and anything to do with trump, compared to the love-in they have for Obama.

Well Trump campaigned on controlling immigration and bringing jobs and prosperity back to the USA. That does not sound much like a Russian plot to me???????? We also voted Brexit(to control immigration). Whether he can succeed I don't know Just checking, I will give him a chance myself though  |

The sanctions are because Russia has annexec Crimea, Byt since 97% of the population are Russian and voted by referendum
to be part of Russia, there seems absolutely no point in forcing Crimea to be part of the Ukraine  .The situation in Eastern Ukraine is trickier. Putin has pledged to stand by Russians in countries in of the old Soviet Union, wherever they may be. This includes East Ukraine. But it has to be said that East Ukraine is still part of Ukraine not Russia. It is a difficult situation, I hope sensible negotiation between Putin and Trump can solve this. |

If russia doesn't throw it's weight around and invade more of eastern europe etc why not be friends?
We've a lot more in common with them than other countries and cultures we are apparently desperate to be friendly with. Once they've got enough Weatherspoons and Rubleland we might even grow to like each other. It's odd how the lefties who like to go on and on with tedious military/capitalist type conspiracies are now hating trump for wanting to be friends with a country, the result of which would you'd think lower the need for the spending they complaing about. |
