Why on earth is the nonentity Farage being given airtime ?
His bigoted views are risible.
Report Breedingmad January 5, 2017 10:31 AM GMT
Farage is just a Public School boy with oratory skills carefully aimed at fear mongering
he is the bloke that points out you you have a flat tyre and walks by you and you're car
off into the sunset...He is milking the celeb limelight on the back of a divisive vote
has no idea what Brexit Britain will look like but will throw around a few meaningless
catch phrases like "take back control", "make this our independence day".If the system was
full of spanners like him we would be living in a dystopian nightmare.

It's working, the seethers are out already. Well done LBC.
Report twizzle22 January 5, 2017 10:53 AM GMT
Brilliant news..the man is a legend. If you have heard him this week on the 10-1am slot you can't be anything else but impressed. The switchboard lights up when he's on the air and he gives his detractors as much time as his supporters.Great signing by LBC..bit like Southend Utd signing Messi because the rest of the station is total $hit.

Farage is not a non-entity, without Farage we would still be in Europe, he has changed the course of British history.

Problem is he may have given the right wing a massive leg up.
Report The Leopard January 5, 2017 11:07 AM GMT
He may be using LBC to keep a higher profile.
Report the.mad.dog.man January 5, 2017 11:07 AM GMT

I listened to his show last night.
Farage is remarkably polite when he's dealing with the public. A true gentleman.
Report Breedingmad January 5, 2017 11:21 AM GMT
He went to a public School that's how they teach them ffsGrin
Report GoOnThen January 5, 2017 11:27 AM GMT
He mentioned the sexual assaults in Austria on NYE. I note the main stream media are now reporting the story.

' Farage has changed the course of British history '

Don't be ridiculous..
Report saddo January 5, 2017 12:55 PM GMT
Goodness me, denial is only the second stage of the grief process, we have some way to go.
Report timbuctooth January 5, 2017 1:00 PM GMT
No; he has changed the course of world history. Single handedly, and in the face of that very same political world being vehemently and vitriolically against him. A true hero in the cause of freedom.
Report donny osmond January 5, 2017 1:09 PM GMT
dont know if he has changed history or was mouthpiece to others but history
has changed

not sure about world history , i think europe may survive without us in their club,
and we will survive outside of their club

stirring up right wing is a route i would have prefered to have avoided

but farage has achieved his aim without gaining a foothold in mainstream politics

may, corbyn, et al need to be careful else he is still there waiting and ready to
sit at their table
Report twizzle22 January 5, 2017 1:16 PM GMT
At the end of the day Nigel is the only politician that the general masses resonate with.He speaks for the SENSIBLE man in the street and its simply reprehensible he was overlooked in the New Years honours list.
Report timbuctooth January 5, 2017 1:18 PM GMT
donny, I think I remember you following the US election? In which case, you`ll be aware of how often the normally incredibly parochial US media referred to him and Brexit. And Europe has become hugely emboldened, seeing that such a course of action can, indeed, actually come to pass. Domino effect, innit. And all started by Farage.
Report donny osmond January 5, 2017 1:26 PM GMT
i think trump would have won without him but we will never know

the domino effect might happen, and might not

he has had a huge impact on our history but may serve as a warning
as much as a way forward

his legacy is up for grabs, and he remains a huge threat to lab con libs

but without his financial backers he may struggle,

i find it all hugely interesting how it plays out
Report timbuctooth January 5, 2017 1:34 PM GMT
It is interesting, most interesting; a whole new world we are about to enter, especially if Trump fulfills his promises, and if more European countries leave the EU.
