I had a tin of pineapple that had been in the cupboard for so long that it "exploded". The mess was so bad that I threw the cupboard out.
At the moment I believe there is a tin of tomato and lentil soup from the turn of the century.

You shouldn't have any out of date food in yer larder.
that's what the foodbanks are for.
