I meant to clean my cache, but somehow cleaned my data by mistake. I've lost the Morpheus build that I had on it, and when I try to reinstall it, it doesn't seem to be there any more. I installed No Limits that looked great, but the films buffer, so I've got rid of that too.

What builds do you guys use?

I have got a Pi3 coming this week (to replace my Pi2) and a new sd card, iam going to try OSMC from scratch and see what i make of it.
Report s.kenbo January 3, 2017 10:58 AM GMT
Cheers, Smar. I've just had a look at that on YouTube, and it doesn't look as good as some of the ones I've deleted.
Report Smar Tarse January 3, 2017 11:36 AM GMT
I am just looking for simplicity this time. Ease of use with a simple no thrills interface and regular auto updates. Obviously all the best add-on repositorys will have to be added.
Report s.kenbo January 3, 2017 11:48 AM GMT
I don't understand it all that much, but previous ones I've used, I've installed once and everything's on there. I'd rather not have to do any add ons if I can help it.

I'm trying one called Eminence at the minute.
Report Smar Tarse January 3, 2017 12:32 PM GMT
I only want a few kenbo, navi-x, exodus, Specto Fork maybe a couple of others. Hoping the minimalist approach will keep things running smooth and fast.

I have https://www.tvaddons.ag/ version on my Pi2 box, plenty of top add-ons in that package.

Do you need boxes and cards for kodi, thought you can download everything you need.

I've installed areswizard through 'file manager' but when I click on the link, nothing happens. I expect it to add, then I go into 'programmes' and it's not there.

If you're there Billy, I've deleted cache and data. I presume that's like a blank canvas now?

Well installing OSMC was simple enough, all went without a problem at all.

Not sure what the difference is to the original Kodi source code to be honest, looking into it a bit more i think it was just a selling point for their VERO-2 streaming box Confused
Report s.kenbo January 4, 2017 11:47 AM GMT
Nice one mate.

I probably need to put some more on mine. I've only got Exodus (which I probably use 95% of the time) at the minute, and it seems a waste to have a Kodi Box without porn on demand!

Navi-x is already included with what you did yesterday kenbo, just select the other zip file

I think Navi-X is rubbish. It never works properly. Sportsmania is where its at for sports. OK, there is a fee, but it works out at a pound a week ffs. Also, the build they provide is awesome.
Report s.kenbo January 4, 2017 5:37 PM GMT
I've never found a sporting stream that I'd be happy watching.

Hi Billy,

Can you advise if the above process would work to put KODI on an Amazon Firestick? - if there's any difference it would be great if you could point them out -  cheers if you can advise, no worries if not
Report Smar Tarse January 4, 2017 6:10 PM GMT
I am not bothered about watching any sports.
Report treble January 4, 2017 6:31 PM GMT
FM,

Kodi has to be sideloaded onto the firestick. It's pretty easy to do, although some parts can be fiddly. This guide is the correct way to do it without a PC and takes about 15 minutes.

You don't need any extra boxes. You can use any device that kodi runs on. It's just easier and quicker to buy boxes with the pirate addons that are being talked about in this thread pre-installed.

They made their own skin and added an appstore and some optimisations regarding drivers, ressources and whatnotHappy In general, OSMC is a full fledged Debian Linux based operating system that simply autostarts into kodi (which is just a software).

On your raspberry pi 3 running osmc you can e.g also run a home webserver, a torrent client, a pyload downloader, an irc bouncer, your own cloud or DNS server, home backup server, NAS server etc. in the background....basically everything you could do with any Debian/Linux device.

Really frustrating that Kenbo, done it a few times.

I've ended up on Preditah this time - very simple, gives me good sport - watched all of the PDC darts with no problems on Sky - and Exodus which is invaluable for movies.

hi mate i can sideload kodi and mobdro onto a firestick for you. dont waste any money on anyone doing it i will do it for free if you post if to me.

Report billyboy19 January 4, 2017 9:14 PM GMT
the best by a mile to watch sports is mobdro forget kodi
Report Smar Tarse January 4, 2017 9:45 PM GMT
There is a mobdro add-on for kodi, are you saying it isn't very good via kodi Billy ? I was thinking of installing it.
Report Hamsterdam January 4, 2017 9:55 PM GMT
I've always found Navi-x shiit too. A lot of Yanks swear by it but it's terrible to navigate and only 1 in 10 links work. Craap.

SALTS and Exodus the two big ones. If you don't know already, instead of waiting for all the links to load and going through them all, highlight the film and keep your hand on the 'ok' button...this will then give you auto-play to save all that arsing about.
Report Smar Tarse January 4, 2017 10:00 PM GMT
That Navi-x does like to crash a lot too.

Report Smar Tarse January 5, 2017 12:25 PM GMT
Another tip, which you probably know already kenbo, Exodus removed the add to favourites option because of traders selling pre configured boxes. To get that back you sign up-to trakt.tv. Then you can use the add to watchlist which is the same as the old Exodus add to favourites really.
Report s.kenbo January 5, 2017 12:26 PM GMT
I didn't know that. TBH I've never adding anything to favourites before.
Report Smar Tarse January 5, 2017 3:32 PM GMT
It's a must have if you are watching an entire series or two, otherwise you have to keep searching for the series title every-time you load Exudus Sad
Report s.kenbo January 5, 2017 4:34 PM GMT
I have always searched for the series each time! Sad

I'm learning every day though. Grin

Report Nirnaeth Arnoediad January 5, 2017 6:20 PM GMT
Trakt.tv account and a real debrid account are a must for exodus.
Also,as an earlier poster said, sportsmania is all you need sportswise.
Report Smar Tarse January 6, 2017 8:22 AM GMT
Another tip, which i wish i had done last week BEFORE my Kingston memory card decided to fail Cry  Make a back up while everything is working and setup just how you like it.

So i made a back-up now via kodi http://kodi.wiki/view/add-on:backup and then connected to my Raspberry Pi with a free program called WinSCP. It is very straight forward, connect with WinSCP, locate the folder you made the back-up to and drag n drop it to your pc.

Now anytime in the future i should be able to use the RESTORE feature of back-up and point it to my saved backup to get kodi setup just how i had it.
