Trump can't be any worse than the petulant fool, Obama, who now seems to be adopting a scorched earth policy of picking very public fights with Israel and Russia.

OP is too young to remember George W Bush who set the Middle East on fire and brought about a global financial crash.

I've never seen such a pompously self-congratulatory speech than that given by Obama mentioned above. The fact that it was all complete bollocks didn't seem to trouble him at all. America a better place? Yeah, right. The world a safer place? Jeez, the fool must be deaf and blind as well as stupid.

Removes from Trump's anus to say he's never seen such a pompously self-congratulatory speech.
To be fair, you can't "see" Trump speaking from down there I suppose. |

Obama, the worst president in American history. Just look at the debt he has rolled up during his tenure.
Im pretty certain using Trump in any argument involving an outgoing president is just bizarre and dumb. but hey ho |
|
By:
A few short weeks ago it would have been hard to imagine how this fool could discredit himself any further. You have to take your hat off to him really.
|
|
By:
I've seen you post before porcupine pineapple. You come across as a foolish hypicrite, a right pompous tool of the thirty-third order. Trump's anus? What the feck are you talking about? I was criticising Obama, not praising Trump. Idiots like you are always doing that, conflating arguments and opinions to suit your own agendas.

I shouldn't even bother engaging PoP, Torquemada. The bloke is a numpty of the ignoblest rank.

You brought Trump up, not me.

Forme, Obama has easily been the best President during my lifetime (43 yrs)

Yeah, I'm beginning to realise that about Porcupinepineapple, Jed. I was just reading him on another thread having a go at somebody for dodging the issue, and then he comes on here and has a pop at me, implying I'm a Trump lover because I criticised Obama!
He's a hypocrite. |
|
By:
He mentioned Trump, the topic is about Obama. Any thoughts on this topic pineapple without going into autopilot ?
Father, name some of the good things Obama has done to make you think this ? Just 5 things will do. |
|
By:
I did not bring Trump up, Porcupinepineapple. Xmoneyx did and I replied to him if you care to check. Best you keep your big nose out of it next time.

Obama is ****ing the pitch for Trump - who will somehow have to reconcile his chumminess with Putin with the fact that all the top US intelligence and military brass are very worried about the Russian president.
|
|
By:
IS - a couple of weeks ago I pasted in a load of Obama's achievements somewhere on here. If I can be bothered I'll track it down.
Doesn't really interest me much though as I'm not American but I find it laughable Obama is being criticised for "pompous self-congratulation" given who his replacement is. The phrase "you ain't seen nothing yet" springs to mind. |
|
By:
Yes I agree with that, A-T. After saying how he wanted to follow Bush's example of a smooth and helpful transition of administrations, Obama now appears intent to do exactly the opposite.
|
|
By:
Is this the same intelligence that has not given us any proof of it ?
The only thing Obama is upset about that the truth came out about Hilary and the democrats lost the election. |
|
By:
I would like to read that pop.
You can see into the future, fancy putting up some horse tips for today ? |
|
By:
IS - how would you like the proof given?
Do you think the director of the CIA should explain everything to the public? |
|
By:
Trump is in for a huge foreign policy learning curve. Just as Obama found himself in a room full of men who didn't want to close down Guantanamo - Trump is going to find himself surrounded by men who don't see US foreign policy the same way he does (or at least claimed to do when he was campaigning)

that old chestnut, so secret it cannot be disclosed.

Is this the same America that tries to influence every election around the world, with and without soros ?
Strange old world we live in. |

Also going to have all of the mirrors given an orange tint .....

I wouldn't put anything past Obama right now, he is showing his true colours in the final days of his presidency - a petulant, delusional, arrogant fool.
|
|
By:
History will treat Obama with the contempt he so richly deserves.
|
|
By:
IS - you do understand that not all intelligence should be shared with the general public don't you?
Personally, I'd imagine it's being deliberately held back until Trump comes in. The heads of CIA and others will be waiting to see how he responds and how their relationships with him are before deciding what further information should be shared. Obama is simply forcing Trump's hand and forcing him into committing to either backing his own agencies or his pal Vlad publicly and showing to the American public whose side he's really on. |
|
By:
It will judge him an irresponsible halfwit for his capitulation to Iran alone.

Here's those stats I posted while back
Comparison from 2008 to 2016 GDP - up 12% Employment (excl farmworkers) - up 8.7 million Uninsured (health) - down 18 million Exports - up 22% un and under-employed rate - down 20% median household income - up 15% manufacturing output per worker - up 14% Dow Jones industrial average - nearly doubled |
|
By:
The heads of the CIA, FBI and NSA are appointed by the president. The only thing they are waiting to see is if they keep their jobs.
|
|

The only fact you need to know about how great a President Obama has been is that after eight years under him the USA voted to elect Donald Trump.
Remember the hope that accompanied his inauguration, in eight years that became the despair that handed Trump the keys to the White House. All your cherry-picked stats mean nothing, especially when the US is to all intents and purposes bankrupt. Obama begat Trump, and emboldened the despots of the world with his supine foreign policy. |
|
By:
The directorship of these agencies are not fixed terms like the presidency. Each president, with senate approval, can put their own preferred people in charge.
|
|
By:
Yes, excellent post Jed. Obama was so bad that America elected Trump, a reality TV host. Agree with that entirely. Who knows how Trump will be as president? Obama we do know, and he was abysmal.
|
|
By:
cheer pop, shall look into those figures and to see how the 7 trillion dollar debt he has run up in his 8 years reflects. Im off to the races now, have a good day.

The crazy world of the right
Where the responsibility for Trump being elected is laid at the feet of Obama not the Republican Party or the people who voted for him. Regarding his supine foreign policy, firstly I haven't studied it much but wasn't he initially elected partly on a platform of bringing back the troops from Afghanistan and Iraq as that policy had patently failed for the last decade or thereabouts? |
