Bit unfair on Guardian readers, facts. They are just a bit simple and very easily led.
Given that you wouldn't be allowed to simply place the dart in to the board, it would require a totally new throwing technique to be developed.

What if there was a ten foot basketball player, really cr*p except for catching...but all you had to do was throw the ball to him from any where and he dropped it in the net. The other team would have to win th 3 pointers??
They would probably introduce a step ladder rule to even it up for the wee guys 
If he was a goalkeeper,there would be no need to dive to save a penalty kick.
