I've got this one covered.

STARING.

When someone is relatively close to you, like in a restaurant and they just stare straight at you at length, what is that about, even when you look back and put on a what are looking at frown expression, it continues. Should be a criminal offence.

This isn't in direct response to the OP, because it just isn't common at all, but last year I was at a small gathering at my mate's house. There was an awful woman there who had already committed a few faux pas like changing the music that the host had put on despite having been told not to.

Anyway, I'd taken a couple of bottles of wine and had shared them around, even with the awful woman. She came over and asked for some more, and when I said it had run out, she actually took my full glass of wine from under my nose and started walking off with it. I was sitting there, playing cards, and she actually took my glass of wine. The last one.

Pretty bad manners imo.

Of course I called her out! Even if I'd been in the middle of a heart attack I'd still have called her out.

It wasn't a joke or anything, she was just an incredibly self-entitled person. It worked out OK though because it gave my mate a perfectly valid reason to ban her from coming to his house again.
Report Angoose December 28, 2016 11:57 AM GMT
Patra, would you mind sharing an approximate age of this rude individual ?

Failing to replace the toilet paper when you have used the last piece is bad manners in my book.

After going to New York with your mate and him being a shambolic, strung out, paranoid mess for 4 days, which included

being abandoned for a lot of the trip because;
he didnt want to get jetlagged so was in bed early
he went AWOL after getting sh1tfaced, ending up in ER for the night, losing phone and credit card
being alone for most of the US Open final because he had to get off the subway halfway there, to sleep on a park bench

having to deal with tantrums because;
I paid for 2 beers a barman forgot to add ("he should learn personal responsibility")
it came up in conversation that he is 6 feet tall (he really, really is)
His wrinkles are actually "success lines"
I mentioned to a couple of friends we had been to a strip club (which he dragged me into)
I wouldn't lend him my phone because of the aforementioned talk of personal responisbility

then when this same d1ckhead turns up at the pre-arranged meeting point 75 minutes late on our way to the airport, I would say THAT was the height of bad manners.

In Japan people wont interrupt you.  They wont use mobiles on trains.  In fact any conversation on trains is largely muted.  I loved their politeness.  I hate it on trains in UK and you get a load of south european students, you know you are going to be subjected to a hundred decibels of (apparently friendly) shouting for the rest of the journey.

I recall one evening when we all got together one of them spent the entire night on his phone. That, to me, is the height of bad manners
