A European arrest warrant was issued, but he still got past the border staff in Germany, and went via Switzerland, Austria or Liechtenstein who all let him wander off for his holiday in Italy. Unless he fooled even more guards by leaving Germany via Poland or the Czech Republic, then Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia. A few more days and he may have ended up in the safe area of Bradford. And we're told that if we leave the EU our borders will become less safe. You couldn't make it up. |
