I have just found out that somebody that I know was jailed about a month ago for two years. However, I don't know what for.
I have tried searching news reports for his name to see if it was reported anywhere but to no avail. An added problem is that I don't know what part of the country he was convicted in.
Is there a published online list of convictions and sentences? Or any other way of finding out?

Your source for the length of the sentence will also know the offence.

I can't seem to get registered properly on the site. It says it has sent me a confirmation link to the email I supplied but it's nowhere to be seen (I have checked the junk mail).

Thanks for the offer BigH but I don't really want to start bandying his name around on the internet so i'll leave it.
His name may be out there and if he done the crime he should be outed on the chit chat forum for us to see if the sentence is lenient or not

in news i seen a muslim get off out on bail as he was depressed and fled the country

Just put in google " name jailed 2 years (year) maybe (area)" If it's out there will come up. Otherwise go and visit him and ask.
