The EU has ruled Britain's intelligence services' techniques are illegal.

British Intelligence is the best in the world, better even than CIA and MOSSAD. They get on with the job without the fanfare of their Ametican and Israeli counterparts.

I seriously doubt those organisation would be granted access but, frankly, I couldn't care less if the Women's Institute gets to see my browsing history if it helped to stop these murdering feckers targeting Britons. I'd be quite happy if MI5 had unrestricted access to everyone, I trust them to use the knowledge wisely.

We are still in the EU and will continue to be so until the fat lady has sung.  Nowhere near 1.01 that we do end up leaving.
