The naming process been going on for years, with just one name. Gail, or wet and windy as we know her .

Meterologists life's must be so much richer and fulfilling thanks to this wonderful initiative.

Probably spend more time deciding on the name that actually looking at the weather.

The storm of '87... Goliath?

I do hope the girl who served me in Sainsburys a couple of months ago joins the Met office. Her name was Rapeeporn!

Norm would be a good name for a storm, everyone could go outside to greet it like a scene from Cheers.

Going back to the storm of '87 the company I worked for at the time told us all that if anyone wants to make a storm damage claim then tell them to go ahead with the work, "we'll pay it" - I thought that was a great gesture and you can imagine my client's faces when I told them.

Mind you, the following year they doubled the premiums

Naming storms in the UK only began in 2015.

The first was Storm Abigail. A big gale.
