What exactly is the point of this thread?
Report Just Checking December 20, 2016 10:51 PM GMT
So you can bring it up again in 5 years time for no apparent reason?

No, JC, I only bring back threads that are of some interest.

This isn't even remotely interesting now, never mind in five years time.

For Crags:
"Mexican" = in Mexico
"fireworks factory" - Factory that makes fireworks
"explodes" = explodes
"60 people injured" = 60 people injured

... and OP kindly added footage to show what happened.

It's a bit different to coming on here and constantly claiming a woman is really a bloke called Dave but each to their own ay?

An explosion at a fireworks market outside Mexico city has injured at least 60 people.

The blast hit the San Pablito fireworks market, about 20 miles (32km) outside the city. No fatalities have been reported.

The Mexico State Red Cross said 25 ambulances had been dispatched.

Many years ago there was a competition for the most boring newspaper headline.  I believe the winner was "Earthquake in Chile, not many dead". I believe we have a new winner.

nb - I believe the winner should still be the Brighton Evening Argus for their masterpiece "Shell found on beach"

There does generally seem to be a lack of surprise/interest about anything horrific that happens in Mexico

People asking why there is even a thread
Report mobo December 21, 2016 2:26 PM GMT
Nothing to do with the subject of this fred.

I remember a national geographic on pollution from production in Mexico.
USA factories moved across the border. They couldn't get away with so much anymore so moved.
The lax safety rules allowed pollution aplenty in Mexico and there were horrific pics in the magazined
of pools of water and chemicals etc etc
Bribery also allowed this to go on.
Probably the article was 30 years ago - but still remains in my memory as the pollution was so casual if you get my drift.

Then of course there was the case uncovered by Erin Brockovitch  - so the yank companies were still at it though.
