As regards the monarchy I think we should keep it as long as they continue to cause so much upset for the lefties.
Apparently they have to live together in "cramped accommodation" in a flat at St James Palace.
So even the royals are suffering in the current housing crisis. Perhaps Andrew should put their
names down on the Kensington and Chelsea council house list.
Failing that, they could become high class hookers like their mom, bag a chinless rich bloke,
churn out a couple of sprogs, then move to the US and use their royal connections to squeeze every
drop out of the gullible Americans.

On a related subjecte, I can't believe our MOD are getting rid of the navy's surface missiles for at least a few years, with AFAIK no planned replacement, which is totally insane. A 3rd world country with missiles could attack our ships from over the horizon and RN couldn't retaliate as they are back to 100 year old style naval guns. Idiotic.
Is idiotic but the guns have a decent range albeit a lot less than the 80 miles of the missiles.
Well there's a reason battleships with huge guns went away and big guns have the largest range.
Ok planes had a huge HUGE amount to do with that, but end of the day a little destroyer with good missiles can take
out an entire naval group without being touched if their defense system didn't knock them out of the sky, if
they had only normal guns and the weather was wrong.
Sheffield etc being a good case in point, anyone who read up on the mistakes and failed technology will understand.
