go out at the top !

he doesnt strike me as being one of the greats but to achieve your
life time goal is a huge thing

might end up with more comebacks than sinatra, who knows

good luck to him
Report Burton-Brewers December 2, 2016 2:54 PM GMT
he'll earn a few bob doing guest drives on the GT circuit, might even fancy the Indy series.
Report mafeking December 2, 2016 3:08 PM GMT
needed absolutely everything to go his way this season and still only won by a tiny margin. he can see it's not likely to happen again
Report donny osmond December 2, 2016 3:12 PM GMT
he won by a tiny margin because he drove for second
place in last 4 races having opened a big lead
Report fkqmz December 2, 2016 3:15 PM GMT
well, that's one douche bag who's realised that exactly no one has enjoyed watching him for 3 years and has done the decent thing.

1 to go........

Laugh
Report mafeking December 2, 2016 3:36 PM GMT
yes he could afford to settle for 2nd cos but hard to deny he enjoyed a huge amount of fortune. not a single retirement due to engine failure. how often does that happen ? almost unprecendented i would suggest
Report donny osmond December 2, 2016 3:43 PM GMT
maybe he looked after his engines knowing he was so far ahead of 3rd place
guy all season, i dont know

as a kid these cars always seemed to pack in, now they seem more reliable

how many engines did lewis blow ?, not many i think,

it is lovely sometimes to walk away.
Report lfc1971 December 2, 2016 4:14 PM GMT
I think he was faster, and a better driver than Hamilton a couple of years ago and should have won then but he was a little nervous.
Report guinness2dear December 2, 2016 4:30 PM GMT
I am well shocked. Best to go out a winner i spose and he won't have to hear anymore whimpering from the stitched syrup tart now...
Report Burton-Brewers December 2, 2016 4:31 PM GMT
be a fresh face for Hamilton to fall out with next season
Report guinness2dear December 2, 2016 4:36 PM GMT
I hope it's young whippersnapper Verstappen, shirley gotta be him innit?
Report twizzle22 December 2, 2016 4:39 PM GMT
Do people still watch F1?...surely...yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwn...not
Report Burton-Brewers December 2, 2016 4:43 PM GMT
hopefully Floyd Mayweather might fancy a season partnering Hamilton. Happy
Report mafeking December 2, 2016 4:45 PM GMT
think hamilton retired 3 times and there was one race where they ran each other off the track. probably around a 70 point swing
Report guinness2dear December 2, 2016 4:47 PM GMT
May get lapped a few times what with him taking 30 second breaks every 3 mins..
Report Makybe_Diva December 2, 2016 4:52 PM GMT
Lol BB
Report pumphol. December 2, 2016 8:11 PM GMT
think he realised the team would probably go out of its way to give Hamilton all the help next season & pulled the plug
Report Just Checking December 2, 2016 9:21 PM GMT
If I was him I might do the same? He's proved himself, he's no doubt totally loaded, and every time he goes out there or even practices he risks death or becoming a vegetable.
Report postmannick December 6, 2016 4:25 PM GMT
just got spliced-young family-plenty of dosh in the bank-add to this the fact the mercs will be pushed a lot closer next season so the experts say ...right time to go
